@Kusalananda I need to place that .gz file into some directory but not in current directory

was pretty cool to see a relevant question about windows on the hot questions list: unix.stackexchange.com/questions/367405/…

I keep getting a "new feed item" notification while in this room, is there any way of turning that off?

Because I don't need it and it is mildly annoying.

@JeffSchaller Looks good.
It seems a bit compressed in the vertical direction.
Personally I'd avoid yellow. It can be hard to read.

Doesn't the cron daemon send an email to the crontab owner by default on Linuxes if there is an error or any output from a cron job? I'm looking at unix.stackexchange.com/questions/367572/… (and assuming it's on Linux).

@Kusalananda No, you have to tell it the address.
I think it might blindly attempt username@machine_domain, but that's usually not your email.
I can't remember.
Just do:
MAILTO = email_address
at the beginning of the script.
Hmm, actually it be able to do a local delivery.

I have tty's opened on my two laptops
/dev/pts/17 on machine 1 and /dev/pts/11 on machine 2
Do we have any protocol to communicate thru between tty's. Both are linux variants

I don't know how to connect PCs but write, wall or mesg may be the commands you're looking for

@FaheemMitha thanks, Faheem! That's the second feedback on yellow; yellow's going away :) Agreed that it's a bit compressed; I'll see if I can convince graphviz / dot to do a better job.

@JeffSchaller I'm not aware of any way to do so. If you figure something out, let me know.
As already mentioned, in the past I've gone the manual route with TikZ.
TikZ is manual, but not super-manual. It does have libraries.
It's also relatively pleasant to use (by TeX standards).
And must have been a truly awe-inspiring amount of work to write.
BTW, does anyone have any idea what this poster is on about?
@FaheemMitha I'm using GCC to develop an operating system. However I can't configure the pre-installed GCC to target i686-elf as it doesn't have configure.ac in its root directory. — Kivitoe 7 hours ago
