Hello
phpmyadmin is a client of mysql
so to access phpmyadmin we must run the apache webserver
my problem is : when phpmyadmin would connect to mysql it gets permission denied
Whereas, when I run my application (PHP Application) I can connect to mysql
So, in this case we have two things would connect to mysql
my application => connect succeed
phpmyadmin => permission denied
I disabled the SeLinux
I would like to understand why the reason my application running under apache can connect
and the other phpmyadmin which is an other application under apache cannot connect

Did you try looking at the error logs?

yes
but it doesnt provide any useful information
I am going to show you a line of log

I'm sorry, but the chat is not really a place for answering questions. You should start by searching on unix.stackexchange.com to see if anyone else has had the same problem. If not, post a question. Please include the log lines and any relevant config information.

Thanks

Good luck!

Folks, would the Engineering SE be a reasonable place to ask a very basic question about FreeCAD? SO doesn't seem to me to quite fit. It isn't a programming question- it's a pull down the menus and click stuff question.
Since FreeCAD runs on Linux, it would technically be ok to ask it here on U&L, but probably not optimal.

@FaheemMitha Engineering SE sounds good if software questions are on-topic. Otherwise maybe SuperUser?
There's also a 3D Printing SE
There are a "solidworks" and a "autocad" tags on Engineering, so that's definitiely on-topic. No FreeCAD, though.

@lgeorget It's barely a software question. Pointing, clicking, and typing.

Oh I see. The CAD-savvy people are on Engineering :)

@lgeorget Well, FreeCAD has a forum. Quite active. That might be the better place to post, but I'm comfortable on SE, and it has useful features like Chat.
I also tried #freecad on Freenode, but hardly any activity there.
A couple of other people asking questions but getting no responses. Of course, it's the weekend.

IRC has known better days...
I feel many channels are full of ghosts
I was on the kernelnewbies chan the other day, though, and I had a couple of interesting discussions

The 3D Printing SE doesn't look like the right place. Having said that, I found
Not sure what that isn't one-boxing. But it has interesting comments about openscad. Maybe I should take a closer look.
@lgeorget Agreed, but freenode is still quite active. It's used by many free software projects for informal support. Usenet is really where the ghosts are.
I wonder why openscad hasn't had a release since 2015.

10:32 PM
@FaheemMitha Oh yes. I send an URL to a colleague once to a news server. He said me "It doesn't open in my browser"

@lgeorget You means like news://??? or similar?
These days people use (or used to use) Gmane. Though I'm not sure what its current status is.

I think the URL I sent was without the news://
I mean, just the domain name

@lgeorget Oh. So, how would one open it?

In a news client
Thunderbird does that

Looks like openscad wanted to have a 2016.12 release, but it didn't happen.
@lgeorget Oh. I've only used slrn.
But not for awhile. If I'm not programming or doing heavy software work, I find I don't access these things much.

10:39 PM
Me neither
But what made me feel old was the fact that "Usenet" or "news server" were not familiar names to my younger colleagues

@FaheemMitha The project looks active, ther's a news from last week on their webpage openscad.org/news.html

@lgeorget Yes, it's active.
Unfortunately, stable only has the 2014 release. Bummer.
And backporting is probably impossible.
