any 10K+ rep user ?
what is the difference between 'vote do close' and delete ?
not that I am eager to delete, but I can't find where to do it.

10k, uff damn thats a lot

there are 98 users with this rep.

well, I got 85

@Archemar There's a link in the same area as closing on deletion-eligible questions
And answers
For example, this answer:

A: Problem with sudoing ssh - `sudo ssh ...` fails

api1411I think you need to check sudoer file and add the user through root privileges. The sudoers file located at: /etc/sudoers(depends on linux base), contains the rules that users must follow when using the sudo command. Read out for suoders for you version of Linux/Unix. you will get lot of materia...

And this question:

Q: How to run pdftotext ... | grep on many documents?

MasiCode which works with a single document pdftotext *.pdf - | grep therapy You can use find as described in the thread How can I grep in PDF files? but I would like to understand why the above command is not working. Differential code where pdfgrep may add some benefit but still early in devel...

But most of my deletion votes are out of review queues, I suspect

A: How does deleting work? What can cause a post to be deleted, and what does that actually mean? What are the criteria for deletion?

jjnguyHow can a post be deleted? By a user: You can typically delete your own posts at will; for exceptions, see When can’t I delete my own post? below. To delete a post, just use the delete link below it. Moderators can delete any post instantly. Users with reputation ≥ 2k (more precisely, the edit...

So apparently not the answer until 20k, then

Ok that's a "vote to delete" then.

8:09 AM
You mean from the review queue?

from article (I have a delete link on pdftotext link above)

> Users with reputation ≥ 10k (more precisely, the moderator-tools privilege; 2k on beta sites) can vote to delete questions that have been closed/on-hold for 48 hours. It takes three votes to delete; more if the question is popular, but ten votes at most.

On articles, the article has a "Delete" link but it's always a vote, even for high-rep users.
In the LQ queue the link changes ("Recommend deletion" or "Delete").
AFAIK there's no gold-tag hammer for deletion (thankfully)...

@StephenKitt Articles?

OK I see a deleted question : unix.stackexchange.com/questions/316603/…;.

And when is a delete link not a vote for non-mods?

@terdon using @Archemar's terminology (posts if you prefer)

Ah, right

@terdon when it's the deciding vote I guess ;-)

8:42 AM
On their own non-accepted answers, or questions with no upvoted answers

True, I was thinking of other people's posts.

I am now wondering if it's ever possible to VTD your own post

@MichaelHomer on the mobile web site you can (but that's probably a bug)

@StephenKitt Are you sure it's VTD and not just delete?

@terdon I once did it to one of my own posts
and was rather surprised

8:51 AM
And it cast a vote instead of deleting outright?

IIRC yes
I keep meaning to try to reproduce it and post on Meta but I haven't got round to it yet...

It seems that my own accepted downvoted answer ought to be a) eligible for deletion votes and b) ineligible for self-deletion, so self-VTD would be possible

If only anyone had ever accepted one of your answers so we could try. . .
:P

Turns out yes, you can do it
Interestingly, I can VTD a zero-score accepted answer. Is that normal? I thought it had to be negative.

Yours or someone else's?

9:05 AM
Mine
And not other people's

I thought you couldn't delete accepted. Huh. Dunno, I'll check and get back to you.

In fact you can VTD your own accepted answer at any score, it seems

And does it delete it or is it just a vote?

It actually errors out at the end
So never mind, just bad UI

Ah. So it asks for confirmation, you confirm, and then it tells you "Ha ha, no can do"?

9:08 AM
Yeah

Oh well

Since my question was pretty much ignored, I will post a link to it here: unix.stackexchange.com/questions/318296/…

Hi there!

Do you have any ideas for a solution here?

Q: How to create directories containing index.html with wget --recursive?

Ionică BizăuI'm pretty happy how wget -r works and downloads the things. I have set up a localhost server which serves a website and the pages look like this: http://localhost:8080/ http://localhost:8080/foo http://localhost:8080/bar http://localhost:8080/blog/ http://localhost:8080/blog/1-and-here-the-slu...
