Anyone have an opinion on making font-book a synonym to font ?

@bmike IMO font-book should be left separate but removed from all questions relating to fonts but not Font Book.app. It could do with a tag wiki too…

@grgarside Hmm - I appreciate the reply.
What if the answer to a question is to use font-book. Having the tag there would seem to me to be a good thing.
Would you post some links to places where font-book is improperly used? (or was before it was edited?)
I'm just not seeing any time when font-book would be used and font also be appropriate. Clearly, not all font questions imply font-book but I'm wondering if the harm of having two tags is more than the benefit of having two tags.

Q: How do I convert a suitcase font?

danixdI have a font set - Type: Font Suitcase I am sure I have used a terminal command to convert it to a TTF or OTF. I don't really want to pay for software to do so. What is the best way of converting these types of font? Edit: Currently FontForge seems my only option, which isn't what I was hoping...

@bmike I suppose that's true — if one follows font-book I presume the implication is they're interested in fonts generally outside of Font Book.app

@grgarside Just ping a moderator when you need a room unfrozen.
It's really best for the site to have only active rooms active and they don't really go away when frozen,
Also - I sometimes think we should merge terminal and command-line

@bmike I rarely see command-line in comparison to terminal — I'd be in support of that.
