@Izzy: Nice work and hope to see the finished product on your blog Aside, in Xprivacy, is it a good idea to apply crowd sourced restrictions as a thumb rule (except for those who require shall treatment )?
@beeshyams Thanks! The article will take a little more time. I hope to have it ready end of next month. Will put a notification here then :)
Concerning Xprivacy: I didn't use (or supply) crowd data up to know, but kept an eye on it when configuring my apps. Seemed sound, but the selection of apps I use is too small for general advise :)
Thanks @izzy; train for asking is that I probably didn't read up or understand the permissions well and at times apps would not work as desired so was thinking of using crowd wisdom :). Some apps like ES, I would prefer to manually tighten the screws
@beeshyams Sure. They are not bad starters, so to say. And ES I'd give a very special manual cure: deleting it and replacing it by something else. Was once my favorite file manager, but got much too bloated.
@izzy am aware of the bloat but it still offers many features not found in others ( i do have paid version of Solid Explorer) so what I do is - cut off all internet connections, never update it on a pre bloatware version of it... So far that's worked
@beeshyams Yupp, I considered that as well. But found out I use an on-device file explorer too rarely to care :) Most stuff goes via ADB in those terms.
