That's really amazing: My new phone (Wileyfox Swift, running CyanogenOS 12.1/Android 5.1.1) hasn't seen a charger for 4 days now – and says it still has enough juice for 3 more days. A smartphone lasting a full week with one charge! I never thought that. Afraid updating it to MM and lose this phantastic behavior #D

Only annoying thing: I wish I knew how to get the Kitkat-style notification area back. Now, even when opening QuickSettings, at least one notification sticks below it – consuming space I'd need for options :(

@Izzy that's crazy!

9:31 AM
@MatthewRead I was skeptical at first (when it said "6 days left"), so I intentionally kept the device off the charger. Seems my skeptic was unjustified. But I'm still speechless.
And before you ask: No, it's not in permanent airplane-mode or something (ony for 6 hours at night). I use it normally: mobile data are on, I do phone calls, etc.

how much use is that?

Admittedly no "heavy use". Roughly estimated: 30min calls per day, screen-on time less than an hour I'd say.

there's "getting an email twice a day" and there's "checking for WhatsApp messages every few minutes"
though I already know you're not in the WhatsApp camp :-)

No "blablabla WhatsApp blabla" :)
Making phone calls 2-5 times a day, using it as "time stamp clock" for work, checking something on the net 1-3 times a day.
I'd say "lite use". But same way as with its predecessor, which showed about 2 days expectation with mobile data turned off.

Q: What shall we do with "how to bypass FRP" questions?

Dan HulmeFactory reset protection is a hot new feature, and one that's catching a lot of people out, judging by how many questions we get about how to get around it. These questions are all asking pretty much the same thing, but the answer depends strongly on what phone is involved (and will change for d...

Q: How can we add a "useful resources" to the help center?

PandyaI've visited the help-center of one the sites, and noticed a "useful resources" section: I'm surprised to see it, since I don't see it in the help center of other sites. So, how can we have such section in other site? Can a community (say Hinduism) decide and write such stuff (if worthy t...

I'm sure we have another "my phone doesn't show up in adb devices" question where the answer is "turn on usb debugging" to dup this one to, but I can't find it

Q: Android Studio and USB driver

NeedHelpI have installed Android Studio 2.1.1, when I click the run button in Android Studio 2.1.1 window, I got "No USB devices or running emulators detected". I have connected my mobile with USB and from my computer, I can see the files in my mobile. I guess I have 2 or 3 USB drivers installed in my co...

A: Android Studio (Windows 7) does not detect ASUS Zenfone. Cannot run my app

B45iYou need to turn on the USB debugging for ADB to work. To turn on USB debugging: Navigate to Settings > About Phone > scroll to the bottom > tap Build number seven 7 times. You'll get toast saying that you're now a developer. 2. Go back and now you can see the Developer options in settings, chec...

@AndrewT. nah, that's a broken adb install
Annoyingly, we now seem to have two duplicate questions about the Facebook thing, both with different accepted answers:

Q: How can I prevent an application (Chrome) from opening another application (Google Play Store)?

Thibault D.So today Facebook Messenger declared a war against users of the mobile website. Of course we have been plagued for months with small header messages as well as overlays hiding all content and encouraging us to install Facebook Messenger. But as from today, wherever I click in the messaging inte...

Q: Facebook mobile website tries to open Messenger all the time

quezakOn Facebook's mobile website on my sister's phone, when you click the messages tab, it first opens Play Store opened on Messenger app (or, it opens Messenger if it's installed). @Downvoters on Top 15 uses of a Tasker app?, you might consider to revoke the vote since the question has been totally changed to "Can I use Tasker to turn my phone sounds on/off?"
(I personally didn't really appreciate the edit, but since there's no harm...)
