@Tufan Wrong room. You probably were looking for the Android chat room on SO (which is for developers) – but you got the one on SE (which is for end-users) :)

Hi @Izzy Did you see my last few comments in this chat? Do you know about this awebmast.com?

@Firelord You can report it via the 'contact us' page -meta.stackoverflow.com/contact

Q: Updated procedure for reporting SCRAPERs

PopsSince day one of Stack Overflow, all content posted on Stack Exchange sites by their users (i.e. you wonderful people) has been provided to the whole universe under the CC-BY-SA license. For my fellow non-lawyers, that license basically means: Anyone can use any Stack Exchange posts at any time...

Hi @bmdixon Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering shouldn't I post it on Meta.SE (I fear downvotes for some reason though)?
This site has multiple sites like SE's other network sites. Even Android.webmast.com

Nope. Just report it as bmdixon mentioned. I've reported at least 5..10 of those clones already that way.

Ok then.

Uh-oh. That's not just a content clone.
They have kept the © note, which is fine – but they've copied the entire appearance incl. logos. The latter might get them down.
At least the URL doesn't try to pretend being SO (had they used something like stack0verflow.com, they'd be in real trouble)

@Firelord That was fast. Is it down already?

@Izzy Sorry, but I didn't understand what was fast? The clones are still up, though the loading time as it seems has gone high.

2:11 PM
@Firelord Ah. I thought they's already taken down that site. That action then would have been incredibly fast, as it usually takes at least a few days if not weeks.

@Izzy And since these clones seems to be copied so religiously, IDT they would go down without giving some pain to Team SE.

@Firelord I wouldn't mind if they had some pain in going down. Nothing against good mirrors, but this kind just makes web-searches a pain in the, uh, behind.

Doesn't SE and Meta.SE has dedicated site's chat room like AE(here) and other sites has? This question has a comment by this user. The rep required to post comments anywhere on Mete.SE is 5 but the user has only 1 rep. The site shows no data, be it Q/A/comments about this user; says only Keeping a low profile.
I first thought (s)he might have posted an answer (somewhere on Meta.SE) sometime ago, got an upvote on it, commented on the question and later deleted the answer. But then, the comment should be accessible from his/her profile at least.
What could it be that I'm missing here?
Ok, this is a mistake. Shit!. Huge mistake
It is visible. Man!

@Firelord oh my: does this one look familiar to you? android.stockoverflows.com
If that's not fake, then what...

7:59 PM
@Izzy WhoIs info for stockoverflows [whois.domaintools.com/stockoverflows.com] and awebmast is same. Guess the internet is overflowing with imposters nowadays.
It seems stockoverflows rectified the mistakes awebmast did. The latter had the original link for the sites like superuser, serverfault; Superuser guys certainly will be infuriated now. Their new site name is user.stockoverflows.com . Damn!
@Izzy Speaking of which, are you hunting (searching) the imposters? This stockoverflows.com seems to be registered in this May. Good catch.

8:24 PM
It seems that stockoveflows.com hasn't cloned the chat completely. I can only see SO's rooms only. chat.stockoverflows.com

@Firelord Not hunting them explicitly. But whenever I catch one, I report it. They just annoy me, flooding search results with duplicates. I've reported that one today, SE team already confirmed.
@Firelord If you hover the login URL, you see another interesting thing: while the login URL itself points to the imposter, the "return" URL parameter points to the original. I didn't want to try their login for obvious reasons, though ;)

@Izzy The login functionality at awebmast.com is broken. I tried to test it via a dummy account. :) Not this one of course. They're yet to catch on this part.
Something that I found interesting is that these imposters are synchronized with original SE with minute details. AE and imposter has ~ 1-2 minutes gap between itself and original to show new questions. They are caching the content quite nicely.

10:25 PM
@Firelord I still don't see the use of those. Except maybe for ads to make money for those running them (cannot tell, my ad-blocker ate them if they were there ;)
