@user285oo6 It depends on the app but most will record the purchase against your Google account so it should detect that you have previously purchased as long as you use the same Google account

if it uses in-app purchases for the upgrade, there might be a "restore previous purchases" button you need to press to make it work

The OP has already stated (on another answer) that they can't get gift cards. I don't see what difference Bluestacks makes either... How is it different from simply doing it on his wifes device directly?
