When I had my stock rom, the task killer was able to release only about some 110 or 120 mb

But now, it can clean upto 180 mb...

And the menu is standing good..!

Else (in the stock), the menu takes a few secs (some 20) to load all the apps..!

The more interesting thing is: A lot of tweaks are avail. in this one...

Just like any other ROMs, but these are bug-less...

You use a task killer to free up RAM??? May Thor's hammer hit you!

One kills tasks if they misbehave (hang, eating all ressources, and there's no other way to stop them).

For "freeing up memory", the system (more specifically: OOM handler) takes care itself.

But, that was a minor example for that ROM ;-)

And no, why should a custom ROM harm? Not in general. Though, technically spoken, one might create a custom ROM that does. It's just like asking whether a Linux distro could harm your PC -- usually it does not, but a "bad guy" could create such ;)

And yes! Of course I have a custom ROM. What else is usable? All those bloated Sense/Blur/...? No, thanks! My phones all run CM. Only my tabbies run stock, as here the manufacturer did not bloat :D

Discrete period: CM for about 2 years -- does that count? ;)
