Hi folks, question: Have you ever been in the situation where a conference doesn't notify you of whether your research was accepted by the advertised notification date?
The date was supposed to be about a week ago and I haven't heard anything. Not sure if I should email them or give it some more time. I've never heard of that happening before so I'm not sure what the established protocol is. This is for a well established CS conference.

@DIMMSum Yes, though in my case they accepted one contribution and forgot about the other, so I knew that decisions were made and sent out.
If they do not write anything on their website, I would send them a mail. Either they forgot you or they are drowning in mails already.

Sigh, ok

If you know any colleague who submitted, you could also ask them whether they received any news.

Somehow I think I was the only one in my department to submit to this conference. Everyone else submitted to PLDI
Thanks for the advice

Note that I am not in CS and your mileage may vary due to this.

They haven't updated their website yet either so I'm just going to wait.

@DIMMSum I was referring to the possibility that they announced a delay of the decisions on their website. If the website still says “decisions will be sent [yesterday]”, I would write a mail.
