NBA Development League is not NBA, but it is closely related. Would it make sense to tag questions about NBDL as .
Would a separate tag for be a reasonable thing to do.
The same question goes for AHL (and maybe some other north-american hockey leagues) and .
Although it seems that at the moment we do not have a question where topic would be only ahl: sports.stackexchange.com/search?q=ahl
If there was separate tag, then it could be used for this question: How do you play for the AHL with an NHL contract if you're not playing for the NHL? But the question is also related to .
I should probably have said that this question was prompted by: Can European player sign for NBD-League team during the season

@MartinSleziak yes, it would make sense

user46190
@MartinSleziak this one seems to merit the tag, but it looks like its about minor league hockey in general.

user46190
@MartinSleziak sure. guess we would need a tag wiki to persist the tag as it would be the only question tagged with such thus far, but i see it as a legitimate tag.

re: i once asked about an nahl game but the occurrence i ask about is common throughout hockey

@ᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴅ_ᴇᴅ I have added nba tag to the question.

user46190
@MartinSleziak okay, thanks. i didn't read that correctly...i think tagging would be appropriate. i'll make that change.

@ᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴅ_ᴇᴅ If the tag is created, it is not too much effort to create some basic tag-excerpt and tag-wiki. Just copying the basic information from Wikipedia (and adding Wikipedia link to give some form of attribution.) But if the tags is created, perhaps also the question I linked above could be tagged with it - so we would have two questions.

for example, and are closely related, and has its own tag

user46190
@MartinSleziak although it seems to be about minor league hockey in general, it focuses on the AHL...so that's appropriate.

So I went ahead and created ahl tag.

user46190
@MartinSleziak great...and i added a quick tag excerpt and wiki

@ᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴅ_ᴇᴅ I did these two suggested edits, too: sports.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/11691 sports.stackexchange.com/review/suggested-edits/11690 I guess the two edits (your and mine) might clash, since we were probably editing in the same time.
I am not sure whether there is a way how I can cancel a suggested edit...?
But I guess that you can reject my edits with single vote. (IIRC moderators vote are binding not only in closures, reopens, deletion, undeletion, but also in reviews.)

@MartinSleziak i'll do that...although i'm hesitant if it counts as some sort of decline on your end (which wouldn't be what i'm going for)

@ᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀᴍɪɴᴅ_ᴇᴅ I had several approved edit suggestions. I doubt that two rejected edits are enough to ban me from making edit suggestions. And even if that is the case, such bans are only temporary.

user46190
@MartinSleziak ok. in the grand scheme of things, it won't matter much, if at all.

There is a feature request on meta.SE: How can I cancel an edit I made on another user's question or answer? But if the information there is up to date, it is not implemented - so there is not a possibility to retract the edits by myself.
Just to test it, I have tried whether I will be allowed to make suggested edit to another tag wiki. I was allowed to - so it seems that the rejections did not result in the ban. (So the situation seems to be exactly as we suspected.)

@MartinSleziak good to hear
