Hi, considering migration of chemistry.stackexchange.com/questions/158469/… here since it's about justification of potential injury as a result of altering alcohol, and not about chemistry per se. There are answers already that use arguments based on chemistry/physiology but feel this still belongs here rather than chemistry. What do you think?

What is the legal question?
As I read it, it makes some unstated assumptions about what the law is, and then asks about peoples' potential motivations in light of that assumed law.
