@nico Can't really do anything if that's the attitude then, right? Have you checked out CogSci even? Looking at your profile, it seems like you haven't even asked or anything.

Not sure what attitude you are talking about. I gave you a report of my impressions and opinions given my interactions. You are allowed not to agree or like it, explain to me why I'm wrong or what I did not understand. However spouting summary dismissive sentences like, "oh if that's what you think I can't help you" is not really useful is it?
You obviously know I have been on cog-sci, mostly on the meta, so I don't understand the question. Not having asked anything doesn't mean no contribution, and most importantly, there are other communication channels that are not on the SE websites. Still, I'm not speaking for my self only but for the experience of other people, many that were following the proposal, and again, if you read carefully the cog-sci people admit that its not a dupe.
The issue here is that I/We don't need help creating a comunity we have one, we know each other, work together and share similar interests, what we need is a website. Trying to use an existing infrastructure that I admittedly like quite a bit has turned out to be a terrible mistake as we ended up wasting, all of us, time.
I don't know if you are associated with SE in any shape or form or if you're just a user. In any case you should look at my statement about stifling innovation of my previous post. I really think its important to be careful about that as I see it happening again and again, people have a good idea and the place where they should get the most help making it come to fruition is the place that kills it for no other reason than following a fucking checklist.
