Hi everyone. I'd like to talk about my site proposal—discuss whether or not it's a good idea, and also maybe drum up some support for it.

Can I do that in this channel, or is that discouraged?

I'm going to go ahead and do that, because it's not like I'm interfering with the current conversation.

"Drawing and Painting" (or perhaps it should be called "Graphic Arts" instead).

I see there are already individual sites about music, film, graphic design, and photography. I don't see why there wouldn't be a site for drawing and painting.
