Q: Why am I loosing reputation from recalculating?

EphraimA few minutes ago, I had 252 rep. I recently discovered the recalc page. I clicked the recalc button, and now I am down to 187. Why would I end up loosing rep from recalculating? Is there any way to get it back? I asked this here instead of MSO because the reputation I lost was on this site, a...

I'm guessing a proposal failed and was cleaned up by the maintenance script. Any sort of discuss posts or proposal questions or rep were washed away, but badges are not revoked
