In all seriousness, what does it take for a martial art technique to be accepted into the "Will work" category? Every video I post people here describe as fake. Some of them involving what are to me basic techniques that work almost every time.

The style I learn my be obscure but it is not without both historic and modern applications. While primarily for self defence it has had occasional people enter cross style competitions. This was mostly in the 1960s though so not a huge amount was filmed.
