Almost disjoint families and maximal almost disjoint families are topic which is often studied in set theory.
They are quite often shorten to AD families and MAD families.
I have only read about them and when I discussed them with somebody, it was in Slovak language.
I am just curious how AD families and MAD families are usually pronounced by native speakers.
Do you read them just as the work mad? Or do you spell them as M-A-D?
