Ah interesting. Let me know where you end up. A PhD Cognitive IT-guy should be on every company's most wanted list doesn't it?
I used Python for it, but it was a big hassle. I had to combine Python with R for the HRV analysis (did not exist in python yet) so getting that to work was no fun task
But my interest in measuring human bodily functioning (HRV, GSR and EEG) decreased a lottle in the last year :P Thesis and that internship asked a lot of patience and preciseness from me which I don't posses in such a degree :P

Q: Neuroscience - Why do large neurotransmitters travel faster down the axon?

BrendynStLouisI understand that with large neurotransmitters, the precursor neurotransmitter and the enzymes are produced in the soma and quickly travel down the axon to be modified in the axon terminal. With the small transmitters, the enzymes are made in the soma and then transported slowly down the terminal...
