Q: Why the total phosphorylation of certain neuronal proteins decrease during development?

user28298Looking at the effects of RIM1a which is a protein involved in neurotransmitter release. Any ideas as to why its total phosphorylation decreases as the rats develop? Now I'm wondering which level is depicted by this situation: A theory that baseball ...

Q: Why can't I smell things that aren't there?

I can do much the same thin...

Q: Why use embryonic neurons to study protein KO and mutants in LTP?

user28298Just wondering if anyone had some ideas about the question in the title. I'm just wondering why some papers use embryonic cultures of specific brain regions for neurones to test the effects of KO's on synaptic plasticity instead of adult cultures? Many thanks
