I'm confused by the two meta posts. Is one meant to be a place to nominate? As they read to me, one appears to be the "interview" thread for nominees and the other, well, it seems like it would be after nominations have been made???? Should the title of "2015 Community Moderator Election" perhaps be changed to "2015 Community Moderator Nominations"???

@Scott one should really have no Answers, the Election one. You follow that link to get to graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/election that is the main purpose of it. The "Interview" is also not the "Interview" it is the question gathering. There will be a new Question that lists the Questions. If you have a Question for nominees you put it in the Question Collection and the highest voted ones get included in the Interview process.

Sort of. Just not how I remember the past. Or I'm getting older and senile. I thought there was a nomination thread... then a vetting thread.... then a voting thread. then an announcement.
