@xzczd It's a pity, but to give a high quality answer, one really has to investigate. In the case of Compile, this means trying out all possibilities. Another thing is that so many people tend to comment small pieces of information and now writing up an answer feels like just collecting what was already said.

@xzczd Well, bounties are very nice because the do draw attention. I must admit that I already started to go through all the different possibilities of inlining because I wanted to write an answer.
But then I thought, I should maybe wait for someone else to step up. Someone who already commented.
I didn't want to be the bounty hunter, especially since I got one recently and don't really need the reputation. It's pure luck that there are two questions that I'm really interested in, in such a short time.

@xzczd FWIW, I looked it into it. I have ideas, but not answers. In fact, my ideas seemed only mostly right. That is, most have an exception.
