Q: Am I breaking the rules if I embed data in the questions using HTML-like markup?

rhermansInspired by this "hot" question I posted another question requesting optimal and seamless methods for embedding data into questions by taking advantage of the fact that Stack Exchange accepts HTML in the questions, and therefor text such as <undefined rubbish> should be ignored when formatting...

Is behavior this well-known? Documented?:
MatchQ[1.1, 1.1 + $MachineEpsilon]
MatchQ[1.1, 1.1 - $MachineEpsilon]
(*  False  *)
(*  True  *)

@MichaelE2 I can't make any sense of that ... when only the last bit differs, they're considered different. When the second last differs, they are considered identical.

@Szabolcs It appears to me it is as if the last bit is rounded off and the results are compared. So if the least sig. bit is 1, it is as if the number is rounded up. Another example: MatchQ[1. + 1/2^50 + 1/2^51 + 1/2^52, 1. + 1/2^49] --> True.

@MichaelE2 ^

@yode What does it have to do with MatchQ?

Sorry.Maybe it is misunderstand..

@yode OK. (You can check the two numbers are different by replacing MatchQ by Subtract.)
