@halirutan Nice -- and thanks.

@MichaelE2 No problem. For a 100x100 matrix g3 is about 3.5 times faster.

@All Seeing the title of this question (which you probably are not allowed to see), reminded me that I think it is tragic that we have 2015 and we still are unable to mark function names as code in titles of questions.
I really believe that it is a no-go that we can use LaTeX in titles and we are unable to write NDSolve. Look how nice our site would look:

Q: Backquotes in titles

cormullionI'm not sure whether backquotes in titles are supposed to work, or whether they don't currently work, or whether they shouldn't be used. See this question for an example. I know that the math stuff does work, but what about backquotes? Update I would really like to turn this into a feature re...

@halirutan Thanks for the reply, I now see that StringCases is not meant to be used with metacharacters like "*".

anyone knowledgeable about the undocumented Streaming functionality?
the following should solve it
`digitsum = Total@*IntegerDigits;
Select[digitsum[#] > #^3 &]@LazyRange[Infinity] // First`
but it doesn't terminate within a couple of minutes on my machine
I am also sad that Select[LazyRange[Infinity], digitsum[#] > #^3 &, 1] doesn't work
(call Needs["Streaming"] first)
oh, i'm an idiot - ignore me
forgot to digitsum the #^3 term

A quick question, is there a way to change the default resolution for copying a graphics? When copy a graphics as bmp, the default resolution seems very low. Is there a way to change that? Thanks.
