Asked the q here, basically it is solved if I can get the examples there working -- anyone done here coordinates transformations from Spherical to Cartesian in Mathematica?

I need to read multiple data files in a compiled function. But it gives warnings and uses uncompiled evaluation because Import is not a compilable function. Any ideas how I can overcome this? The Import data comes from another MMA program, but since Compiled functions do not output multiple tables with varying ranks, I export them into a file.

@ArnoudBuzing Is it now the correct time to get Mathematica 10? Or should I wait? I cannot understand their pricing at all, I am a student.

I am puzzled by the online Mathematica, it disappears after 1 year use? Is there some version that I can use forever?
