A link for posterity.Probably the worst question here so far. May humanity remember it while terraforming Sirius: mathematica.stackexchange.com/q/43489/193

@belisarius, Do you really think the person who posted the roller coaster question is really a girl? My evil mind says he is guy pretending to be a girl to get more sympathy.

@MarkMcClure Hehe ...
@m_goldberg Well ...I'm open minded
@m_goldberg Do you remember all those questions about filling a cone?
It's the same thing. Shame and pity on them

@belisarius. oh yes, vividly. She took quite a shine to you.

@m_goldberg Sorry "to take a shine" is out of my dictionary.Care to explain?

@belisarius. I seoconded your reason for closing.

3:47 AM
@m_goldberg :)))))
"take a shine to somebody" ->> to like someone immediately ??

@belisarius. "take a shine to" = American slang (possibly archaic) meaning "to develop a liking for".

not at all

@belisarius. "not at all" -- referring to what?

@m_goldberg Her photo was astounding,but I'm sure she was a "he" ... and quite a stupid "he" btw
@m_goldberg You possibly know .,.Along the years I came to be a suspicious little brat, I don't believe in photos, I don't believe the press and never believe a student. 10^5 years before this era I'd probably been called a "wise man"

@belisarius, the last post refers to the "cone girl"? Or the "roller coaster girl"? Remember my thought processes are slow because of my advanced age.

@m_goldberg You're not old at any rate. You're here. That proves enough about your will. Aging is just losing will.So you're not still there (notwithstanding what your body tells you)
@rm-rf Hi my little grasshopper

@belisarius Hello
@belisarius Worst? I don't think so ;)

@rm-rf Quite a day, Spam overflowed good intentions
@rm-rf "Maak nu een dubbele lijst genaamd t2d waarbij kNPQ1 varieert van 0 tot 20 in stappen van 2, en waarbij kNPQ4 "
@rm-rf I see you don't have the gift of tongues
Most frogs don't
@rm-rf I've a plan, not a great one. Just one that can be useful for Mma.SE. Send me an email so I can tell you.

@belisarius Never got a chance to develop it... our mouths are full most of the time
@belisarius To which email? The one in your "About me" box or the one in the email field?

4:19 AM
@rm-rf "Ready to swallow just about anything" doesn't make justice to an aristocrat like you
1:10 in your video
@rm-rf OK, if you've one there I'll ping you there
good night

@belisarius pinged you

@rm-rf OK. Thanks! Too tired now, I'll write a few lines tomorrow

ok

I'm trying this [Code Golf exercise re digits in a number](http://codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/22975/print-all-numbers-from-100-to-100-which-contain-a-given-digit). I am unable to combine my two functions into one line ie replace the call of function `includes` in line 2 with the defintion from line 1. Guidance, please ? `includes[v_, d_] := If[Cases[IntegerDigits[v], d] != {}, v, ## &[]] ;
onlyDigits[d_] := includes[#, d] & /@ Range[-100, 100];`

@PlaysDice o[d_] := Select[Range[-100, 100], IntegerDigits@# ⋂ {d} == {d} &]

@rm-rf. Definitely a better solution! And re my code, can you guide what is not meshing when I try to combine my two lines eg onlydigits2[
d_] := (If[Cases[IntegerDigits[#], d] & != {}, # &, ## &[]]) & /@
Range[10]

4:24 PM
or this: f[n_]:= Select[Range[-100,100],DigitCount[#,10,n]>0&]

@PlaysDice You have too many &... you don't need one for each #. Instead, you should close out the function after its scope has ended. This should work:
(If[Cases[IntegerDigits[#], d] != {}, #, ## &[]]) & /@ Range[10]

@rm-rf @chuy Many thanks. I will quell my ampersand frenzy.

@chuy Nice. DigitCount is much shorter.
@PlaysDice :)

5:27 PM
I used, and should acknowledge, the 'vanishing function' ##&[] from Mr Wizard mathematica.stackexchange.com/questions/3700/…
