and shared hosts are notoriously problematic due to bad actors on the same server. They've improved, but the IP can still easily get a bad reputation

I run my own host for my online needs and I have, on average, a few hundred to a few thousand attempts per day to get in

most of them incredibly stupid attacks that I'm sure are just going on all over the internet, but still attacks just the same

they put stuff out there that just looks for any vulnerable system

I might have to actually check this site out more often. Seems like one of the most valuable SE sites since it's an area far too many people don't understand
