Its impossible in the cycling world to separate weight from quality. As no one makes good quality heavy components, lighter bikes are generally faster - because they are better quality. — mattnz 4 hours ago
@mattnz: I wouldn't say impossible, there are high-quality but heavy components for specialized purposes such as tandems or touring bikes
but in general yeah

quality as in things that will last a long time, and work properly without too much fiddling
