12:45 AM
remembering good old times, when we played with writing .com programs which create a stack which overflows the code and data area and execute it :)

@Rilakkuma Oh, yeah. And such high-tech advances as TSRs.
Unless you worked on real computers, that is.
Then you had to know stuff like 0C7 was the error code for a data exception.

@andy256 there were no such things as exceptions
the whole thing which is code, data and stack were packet into 64KByte long segments
well, there were exceptions, but not programmatical :)

Greetings @Alex

Another fast one...
Morning all

so that if you grow stack long enough it will overflow code and data and eventually get executed because no memory protection is in effect.

12:54 AM
Just happened to spot your icon drifting in ...
@Rilakkuma At the time I was working on IBM370 and 3033 systems with a little MsDog thrown in.

@andy256 yep, this is what I am telling about too. I worked on IBM386 though.

Having moved away from various ICL boxes.
@Rilakkuma Not sure if it's you pulling my leg now ...

hehehe
:D
it is too cold by the way :/ being too used to warm weather
this morning it was ~15C and felt just too cold to ride

Oh, perfect riding weather :-)

29 with a high of 32 here
I'm off for a ride now, bye.

12:59 AM
bye! :)

@alex Have a good one. When you come back, tell us about the Photography, and the Cambodia, Yorkshire or Sydney thing.

29 degrees - perfect riding temperature!

with any luck there'll be a storm, I love riding in the tropical rain

Where I live the riding weather can vary from .4C to 40C.

anyway, bye

1:01 AM
So I enjoy a nice 15.

take care!
@andy256 where do you live?

Enjoy
Melbourne, Australia.

(european rain less so)

@alex thought you'd gone!

@andy256 how do you manage to ride upside down anyway?

1:03 AM
Lol.
Funniest thing was I sent my brother in law (in Poland) a vid of a ride.
At that time I didn't have a suitable camera,
so it used a smartphone.
The vid turned out to be upside down when I put it on the web :-)

lol
at least you have a proof now
that you guys actually do ride upside down and don't fall

@Rilakkuma :-) Cheers, I'm stopping for lunch, and hopefully a ride too.

Good luck! I have to do some work too.

2 hours later…
3:29 AM
@andy256, I left just after that

5 hours later…
8:44 AM
@andy256 trouble is, the guy shhots himself in the foot. I saw he posted a xouple of questions the other day, I saw it was from him so ignored them.
Mind you, I'm not sure my advice would have been much help. He was asking about strategy for a race, I was just going to say to ride faster than everyone else

2 hours later…
10:43 AM
Just been out for my first ride in Holland. Only 12.5km, but I've found the local town. Beautiful sunny autumn day here, very leafy. Cold hands by the end of it.
I think all bar a few hundred metres was cycle path. Unbelievable.
