that means it supports both MP3 and "video"
what is this "work out" of which you speak liri
you're far too young to have been corrupted by such nonsense as physical exercise

@JimmyHoffa - I think a more reasonable definition for life would be "anything that self reproduces and goes through evolution via selection".
@MichaelT - Hard AI only says anything turing complete is sentient in the sense that one would say an organic virus is sentient.

@psr strong AI says that intelligence is computable. Anything that could implement a Turing machine could host an AI. That's where it gets odd/interesting.

@KitZ.Fox Every teacher I've had thought going to their classes was a great service to me. Maybe 1 in 10 was right.
@MichaelT I'm pretty confident it's correct. But that "could" part hides a world of difficulty.

what, nothing for me? ;(

Q: What are the triangles around Kermit's neck?

SnowmanWhat is the ring of triangles around Kermit's neck? Looking at pictures of frogs, I have been unable to find one that has similar markings. For example, take this picture of a typical frog: Kermit, of course, has a signature ring of triangles around his neck: So far I have been unable to f...

@durron597 lego man! I haven't seen you in a while!

3:20 AM
@Snowman I knew there was some reason I associated it with being a royalty thing but couldn't put my finger on it- it's like an old-timey collar thing is why.

@JimmyHoffa I think you had it right before. A necklace of teeth. Teeth of Kermit's enemies. Ripped out of their skulls.

@Snowman I thought Kermit was the frog king and that was his tribal war necklace anointing him as such. It's a necklace of teeth.

user114359
A side of Kermit we never knew he had

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is about methodologies and business. (Probably on topic at Programmers.) — chrylis 59 secs ago

aaand it's time to change the password -.-

12:20 PM
that's a pretty weak password btw
what's the next one going to be?

@ratchetfreak the password is only used for login to physical devices which don't hold unencrypted sensitive data. My threat model includes snooping siblings, not people who'd brute-force the password hash. I use far stronger authentication for online accounts or SSH.

Questions that ask "where do I start" are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start, then address your post. — Petter Friberg 1 min ago

This question may be a better fit for programmers.stackexchange.com. And as far as I understand each layer in ideal n-tier should know only about the one-level lower layer (UI->Application->Domain->Infra, but Application shouldn't know about Infra), so in your case it seems to be a violation of proper n-tier. — Eugene Podskal 42 secs ago

need help ... To check a string is palindrome using pointer .....
#include<stdio.h>
#include<string.h>
int main()
{
int *p,*l,m,count=0;
char str[50];
scanf("%s",str);
p = str;
m = strlen(str);
l = str + m;
while(m>0){
if(*p == *l)
{
count = count++;
p++;
l--;
}
m--;
}

return 0;
}
i want to do math operation on pointer to access elements of array

No.
Why are you trying to assign a char* to an int*?

i want to do math operation on pointer to access elements of array @PreferenceBean

Nobody I talk to actually knows I know anything about computers. They all think I just do boxing after school

help me plz

User why are you asking for help in chat instead of posting a stack overflow queation ?

4:43 PM
1) you can do arithmetic operations on pointers of any type, making it char* instead of int* means that adding 1 to it will increment by the size of a char instead of the size of an int, which is what you want, as is usually the case when you do what the type system asks
2) whenever possible, it's much easier to use the array[index] notation rather than fiddle with pointers directly (which seems to be feasible for your program)
@DeliriousSyntax let's be honest, as currently presented that is not a suitable SO question

what if the question is check palindrome using strictly pointer concept

then you should at least use the right type of pointer

thanks , i run my program and no error this time , after changing pointer from int to char .. thank you @Ixrec

Why are you trying to assign a char* to an int*?

@PreferenceBean because life is pretty funny like that

4:58 PM
you should've told him to do a reinterpret_cast just to see how badly it explodes at runtime

I presume that's about as good an idea as unsafeCoerce
or is that more like show.read ?

thanks @PreferenceBean

> The highly unsafe primitive unsafeCoerce converts a value from any type to any other type. Needless to say, if you use this function, it is your responsibility to ensure that the old and new types have identical internal representations, in order to prevent runtime corruption.
@JimmyHoffa yep, that's what reinterpret_cast does

ish
with reinterpret_cast you have to go through pointers

5:54 PM
@Ixrec I didn't really look at it as busy at work ATM. I hate being tall, they make me do all the hard work.

lol

I got to run to ace to get some light bulbs to replace the ones in the sign outside(it's like 18ft up and the latter is only about 12) be back later.
Hopefully I make it back without falling...

Well I imagine the downvotes are because this is not really a programming question. You are asking for opinions (off-topic) or software recommendations (off-topic). The question might be OK on programmers.stackexchange.com but check their rules to be sure. — greg-449 15 secs ago

old article, but

Where they know there's going to be no resistance, no real argument at the scene. The children are going to be upset".
Take a good long look at yourself, Neil Thomas.

@DeliriousSyntax how OSHA compliant of them O_O

@PreferenceBean you now have my curse.
is it actually a tongue?

I'm going to be honest with you now...

don't worry, I fixed it:

cuz I solved it.

I should order in some takeaway

Wow, today's been 1 long day
Let's see how long I can sit here
SOlved the latter problem by ratchet strapping it to one of the poles holding up the sign standing straight up, then tying another one around my waist, so I didn't have hold onto the pole the entire time
@JimmyHoffa Then I'd probably be out a job

Really? That's been there for a while.
I just did my first bounty on stack overflow. Can't do reviews anymore :/

Did you also see that coffee question in the feed? I was wondering if it was in my feed because I posted a question there a while ago.

the Travel one yeah
not sure how I ended up on Coffee.SE but I assume it was some way along the same sequence of mouseclicks

How many questions can people ask about coffee?
How much creamer can I add till it's a desert?

@PreferenceBean I thought we linked that here dozens of times before because we've made so many coffee jokes in here

@WorldEngineer Mind blown I just put the coffee stuff into the coffee machine add water and the container of creamer.

@DeliriousSyntax I can think of about 10 ways off the top of my head to brew it

11:37 PM
@PreferenceBean if you've no patience or palate that's a viable option

@Ixrec PreferenceBean is just one coffee bean short of a cappuccino.

on the contrary, an advanced palate and imagination results in not requiring a complex construction of beverage to enjoy
only a simpleton needs a taste experience spoon-fed to them!
must have a weak sense of taste :D

I have the Ninja- Cofee Machine

jokes aside, the posts on that site talking about "not being able" to go a few days without familiar blends of coffee in a foreign land are actually a bit concerning

user20683
@PreferenceBean I'm not really sure why you insist on insulting everyone you come across

11:39 PM
if you're (a) that inflexible and (b) that addicted, get help

user20683
are you begging for a ban?

@WorldEngineer it's a C++ thing

@WorldEngineer um, cut out the personal attacks please?
chill out
I haven't "insulted" anyone

@DeliriousSyntax can't see anything - page is just blank

ninjas are invisible
wow those are kinda expensive :/
I have a Tassimo downstairs - don't remember how much it cost

Wow, that wouldve taken me as long as it took me to figure out I had "liri" in my name

lol
yes that was quite impressive
which reminds me ... two days until new nick day

Only you can create jokes that make me go insane for days

I only make you consciously aware of your inherent lack of sanity
that's in your nick too!

ok not quite insanity

About time to get off work. Guess it's time to switch from preference bean to a cofeebean
