I am a web developer. I'm doing all kinds of web-sites and web applications.
It's very strange for me that a lot of customers do not know the difference between a web developer and a slicer. They just want to "give you the PSD" and expect you to give them a web site with a DB back-end and so on....
My question to the whiteboard room is - where can I learn to do slicing in roughly a few hours time? It's definitely a weak area in my skill set. I'm assuming it would be off topic as a poll question, but if anyone can give me some suggestions it would be appreciated.
@psr That's a tough one. I had a graphic designer colleague that showed me the basics in a few hours, and after that was always around when I had a question. If you don't have the option of a mentor, you could always start by asking our friends at Graphic Design.SE...
