At this point I'd just go with a custom solution really, in my opinion even if there's a standardised way it's obviously not very well documented, loosing more time researching it over actually writing it yourself and move on.. :) we are programmers after all, right? :D — Sam 23 secs ago

You should show what you have tried so far, and explain what didn't worked. It may happen that somebody give a complete answer but StackOverflow is not a pool of programmers waiting to write a whole solutions for you, but rather people eager to help when you are stuck ;) — Whirlwind 9 secs ago

@SudhishVln Whoever told you that the "answer" was -7 was wrong. Surprisingly, this code has no right answer. It is impossible to predict what this code will do. It will do different things under different compilers. Wise programmers do not write such code in the first place. — Steve Summit 29 secs ago

This is an admin question rather than a programming question. Nonetheless, Subversion is a tool used by programmers, so, Shippy, you could learn to use it and/or [git]. Revision control is the programmer's second tool, right after executable specifications/automated tests). — Tom Blodget 31 secs ago

@user34660: Re "Static linking seems primitive to Windows programmers...", but dynamic linking sometimes seems like a major PITA to people using Linux, when installing program X (probably written in C++) means having to track down and install particular versions of libraries that you already have different versions of on your system. — jamesqf 29 secs ago

You don't really have a table in your database with those column names? What entity and attributes are they really? You don't talk to your fellow programmers about "I have a problem with the the user 'row_value'" when trying to work out the problem. You explain what row_value represents first? So, what do you talk about when trying to work out the problem? row_value is a user property of what? — Ryan Vincent 53 secs ago

Some programmers use a technique wherein you create classes for specific style sets, so as well as having a descriptive class such as .header .nav-item etc, you might also add to them .ml-sm or .ml-md (margin-left small and margin-left medium) which could have different margin sizes for different use cases. Of course these could have multiple styles e.g. color, font-size & line-height. The only downside is the extra HTML markup changes that could be required — SmokeyPHP 21 secs ago
