@FEichinger CNN's also labeling it as a terrorist attack, yet there's no evidence linking it to actual terrorists since last i checked nobody's stepped up to claim responsibility. Unless I've missed something.
In terms of security, it's safer (from government viewpoints) to label something more severely until you can say with certainty that it's not. It's not about proof - it's about caution and perceived threat.
So we that way of thinking, to be a terrorist attack, a terrorist group would have to take responsibility. Am no einstein here, but if i were involved in something like that, I would not take responsibility but do it again in another place. I mean come on, how many things like that are actually from a "terrorist cell"
Am with Oli on this one. That would be more logical from the safety point
@LuisAlvarado: depends. If the terrorist has a strong ideological background and wants to make a statement, maybe. Lots of modern day terrorists are just loonies and just want to hurt people
@LuisAlvarado It looks much better if you use block style formatting when your code is on it's own line (instead of backtics) askubuntu.com/posts/279623/revisions
@Seth You know I had to go to another computer to see what you were talking about. Then I noticed in my computer the brightness level was SOO high, that the gray color with the backticks or the code blocks was the same as the white background so I could not tell the difference.

I was installing updates and ubuntu crashed. Now I don't have the internet connection anymore. How can I install ubuntu back without internet connection?
@Suhaib Fair point. I thought there was an answer there that covered that issue, but it doesn't really provide an answer other than what you have already stated in you comment.
If the OP posts their network specs, we might be able to help them.
what's a good way to transfer outlook contacts over to ubuntu?. I have tried to import into Thunderbird and Evolution but with very poor results. Also Chinese characters are not imported at all.

Can I use my mobile phone in China tours?
You may bring your own mobile phone into China; please check with your mobile service provider for the details of international roaming. Prepaid SIM cards are very easy to access; simply ask your local guide to help and enjoy your call.

oh. there was just a heightened vocal awareness re: spam a few(?) weeks ago. Since some filters were put in place, the amount of noise has dropped considerably.
I picked up a mess of helpful flags just prior to that.
Every 3 hours the script will run and backup a folder "SOURCE" and it will save it along with the other backups of the current day in the folder "month-day-year" e.g. "03-24-13". @JourneymanGeek you post answers on AskUbuntu with it
Does anyone remember that menu you could get during installation where you could manually go through all the installation options? Is that still present in 12.10 server install?
@Oli yes but I -know- there was a method to get a popup with all the install options where you could use choose a number to do that part of the setup :P
But all I find are topics about changing it after install :X
this is about 12.04 ;-)
Hmm I know there is because when it failed to do one of the options in order it normally would do it would fall back on that. Or/and when you canceled the install it would end up there.
My work require to mass install Ubuntu 12.10 on huge load of PC.I have been searching the internet for the past 5 days with no success. Please help me if anyone has experience about this. Many many thanks! :(
