Does the quote above make any sense, providing that the text describes the production of a drug in an E. coli strain -- not in a CHO strain?
I don't understand how does one asssess HCP content using a CHO culture if the producer strain is E. coli
Would this make a good question for the Bio SE?
I tried googling, but to no avail.
Maybe the authors meant to say that they validated their HCP evaluation procedure using a CHO culture, but they do not say that outright.
