@FaheemMitha Personal experience I think. Perhaps because of the twitter thing.

@FaheemMitha Vitamin C -> shorter colds would be an extremely straightforward effect. Nothing like that has been found. Something like Vitamin C + exercise + a specific genotype -> shorter colds would be complex enough to evade the studies we've fielded so far.

@Resonating Agreed, it could be a specific combination of things. By we, do you mean the scientific community, or have you been involved in this?
But I don't know if the clinical trials checked for common cold effects.

4:45 PM
@FaheemMitha I mean the scientific community. Stuff like Airborne(tm) has been shown to have no effect on illness, so i'm comfortable declaring Vitamin C useless*
*unless more research shows something neat

@Resonating Airborne(tm)?

@Resonating ?
@Resonating I see.
I think Vitamin C works on me at least, and I've heard anecdotal evidence it works on other people. But of course, as you say, there could be multiple factors at play, and probably are.

5:50 PM
@Resonating If I haven't got you mixed up with someone else, you are in Urbana, right?
