@NokImchen I did this, if that helps: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18682527
But that was years ago.

Could someone please help me with developmental biology? I am interested in how does an organism know when to stop growing, whether it is already on the outermost layer? Can it still be answered by morphogens, or is it something different?

@FloriOn That kind of thing really should be asked on the site. First because we are still in beta and we want to have as many Q&As as possible and also because the chat here is not very lively.
Anyway, developmental biology is not my field but I would guess that morphogen gradients are indeed what controls it.

Thank you, then I will do so!

There may be some interesting feedback circuits going on as well though. Do try asking, I'd be interested to know if anything more complex is going on.

May I ask you what should I do if I am interested in an answer in more detail, than what was written? Should I ask the writer of it in comment or what is the appropriate way?

@FloriOn Yes, posting a comment asking for more detail is absolutely OK.

5:46 PM
Thank you!

If the answer, as is often the case, raises more questions, those should be posted separately.
If you just want more detail on the same question, then comment, yes.

@terdon Should I still edit my given answer here: http://biology.stackexchange.com/questions/30672/punnett-square-x-linked

if it is already put on hold, or may I delete it? (By the way, is it appropriate to ask such questions here or should I do it elsewhere?)

Oh, that's you? I just left a comment because your answer was in the low quality queue :)
Well, that's not really an answer. As I said, you should have explained why it's right or wrong and give your reasoning.
However, since it's closed, it's up to you.
Yes, you can delete it if you like, or you could edit it.
I probably would delete it if I were you. It's unlikely that such a question will help future visitors.
And yes, asking here is fine.

What should I do if I find such non-helpful questions? Should I flag them or try to answer them in more detail?

6:05 PM
@FloriOn Depends, really. If you think your answer can salvage the question, try to answer. If the question is just useless flag and vote to close once you have the reputation.

@terdon thank you a lot, sir :)
