@Gajoo I thought Google paid good Money for people who found security vulnerabilities in Chrome? If what you are saying is true Google probably has paid for their research :P
I am trying to compile this project - It compiles perfectly in
Linux(ubuntu). But I want it to work on Windows. So I installed MinGW
(which comes with Jamplus installed) - and went ahead installing all the
libs needed for the project. After doing that (phew!) - I downloaded the
src of this projec...
I think I've used only 2 sprites for from Open Game Art. Some 8-Bit Santa Sprite and these vectorized snow tiles. Featuring Inconsistent Pixel Sizes :P
The example below is in C# pulling data from Texture2D in XNA. My understanding is that Texture2D.GetData can not be used to pull data into a 2D array initially.
If a 1D array contains values like so: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Is it possible to copy that single dimensional array into a 2D array...
previously I knew how to take the cocos2d project and include it as a link so i didn't have to copy all the files into the project. made it easier to upgrade to newer versions.
@Almo GTA 3 was fun. I can't speak for 1 or 2, Vice City wasn't as good as 3 IMO and San Andreas was just too different. Haven't played anything after that.
I guess, to be fair, the most fun we had playing GTA3 was to enter codes to give us guns, and take turns seeing how long we could last against the army
@ToddersLegrande That's exactly what I don't like about GTA: it's a freedom engine. I find those dull. I like clearly-defined goals. People who tell me they like it often say things like "look I can steal any car" "look i can run over people" "look I can shoot police and they get mad and bring out tanks"
Just not my thing. :)
No, what I don't like are SOLO freedom engines.
I play EVE, which is a freedom engine with hundreds of thousands of players.
I tried that. Just when I was learning my way around the city, they threw me into a new location, and I decided I didn't want to have to learn my way around again.
That was GTA 3.
Played a bit of 4 as well, just didn't grab me.
having said all this, I commend them for having some of the best voicing in any game.
What research have you done on it? Have you tried it? Are you just looking for any obscure one off things you could run into down the line when working?
What kinds of problems could one run into if they were making a game with Monogame and started making calls to the underlying graphics API as well?
For example, if I wanted to do something in a Monogame project that Monogame didn't necessarily support, or I just couldn't find the proper documen...
