@FirasAssaad do you know the best way to enable code completion in Visual Studio either through a plugin on some setting?

@AttackingHobo: I'm sorry, but I haven't used Visual Studio in a long time. Wasn't code completion enabled by default?

not in C++

Are you sure? I remember code completion being there the last time I used it (in C++)

@FirasAssaad "

Quite simply, no.

The intellisense engine for C++ is on the old side and is undergoing a rewrite. But write now the intellisense is not that useful. There may be features like that in C# but not in C++.

The best you could do is look for a plugin for the VS IDE to see if one does this, but you would then have to upgrade to the full Visual Studio since Express doesn't support plugins." FFFFFFFFFFF

Shame. :(

12:19 AM
I am used to typing out aReallyLongVariableName by typing arl

@AriPatrick where did everyone go?

4:54 AM
@AttackingHobo - I hadn't realized you can comment on questions, I thought only post "answers". SOrry about that

@TimHolt and now you know :)

I declare -1 on site usability :)

@TimHolt How?
Oh and that guy definitely does not mean the player, he means developer.

Because there's a big ass "fill in your text here and hit submit" spot on the page, and a tiny gray "comment" link.
mind you a million past users prove me wrong, but I didn't even see the comment link until you voted me down twice
and thought either you were a jerk, or there was a way to comment I didn't know about (beyond commenting on an existing answer)

Sorry about the downvote..... but each user can vote one. I think tetrad or someone else had downvoted before me.

5:02 AM
hehe yea he did

I vote down things that do not qualify as answers :)

fascinating idea this site (and stackexchange). I'd never really looked at it before I came into here a while back

Or if I really disagree with them.
@TimHolt Yeah, I love these sites.

A friend is into the Math site (mathoverflow.net) and put me onto it
OK back to stuff & TTYL. I'll be good and make comments from now on unless they are answer ;)

@TimHolt what languages do you program in?

1 hour later…
6:33 AM
@Tim well definitely keep at it, your answers (other than the two you deleted) have been thorough and useful

@TreDubZedd morning @AriPatrick

1 hour later…
6:24 PM
@AriPatrick are you actually here, or do you just have a script that randomly says stuff like "Hey All" and then makes you idle for another few days?

6:40 PM
@AttackingHobo its probably the script
perhaps he was never really here

2 hours later…
8:35 PM
I am actually around. lol
I am not a script, I am a "hooman" being :P

1 hour later…
9:54 PM
@AriPatrick if(userAccuseScript()) sendText(standardExcuse);

hahhah

On Uncharted 3 taking place in a desert: "When we first came up with the idea of sand, you see everyone’s eyes light up here and go, ‘Yeah, that’s going to be really hard — let’s do it!’" Adds Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells: "We’re a bunch of nerds. We just look for something that will be a technical, artistic challenge, and allowed us to push into an area of the world and history we’ve never tapped into before."
Those guys are so cool

This is why nerds rule the world. They look at challenges and think, "This is such a cool problem to solve." Meanwhile, everyone else thinks, "Ug. Not this again."

Or they could just take the snow stages from Uncharted 2 and paint it all yellow!

10:16 PM
So it has been about 8 years since I did any programming in Flash. A friend has a game concept he wants to try out, and I think that Flash would be a good platform to create it in. Are there any good Flash gaming tutorials that would get me up to speed in programming Flash games in AS3?

@FirasAssaad Awesome... thanks :)

1 hour later…
11:30 PM
Save me...
