Q: Movie about programers that make a game with a robot and it kills them

Rombus10 years ago I saw a movie about a group of programmer college kids that made a game that somehow involved a real life robot. That robot then gets control over itself and start killing everybody. I can't remember anything else, maybe a circular saw, or ninja stars. I only saw a fraction of that ...

Q: How did Tony Stark get his new suits?

Matthew StevensonSo from the very beginning of Avengers:Age of Ultron we see Tony Stark flying around as Iron Man, we also see the Iron Legion and an automated repair room for them. There is also "Veronica" The Hulk Buster, and a War Machine without the ugly paint job. So did I miss an "Iron Man 4" movie when he ...

hitman4890In the movie Avenger age of ultron captain america tells hulk that 'I have seen her flirt upclose' about black widow. what does that mean?. Is that some dialogue theatrics or is there any reference there?

Q: Why hulbuster given such a name?

Ankit SharmaIn Age of Ultron, Iron man called the Hulk buster program Veronica. Why is it named like this, is it some kind of reference to Archie comics or is it straight from marvel comics?

The Age of Adaline ruminates on mortality less compellingly than similarly themed films, but is set apart by memorable performances from Blake Lively and Harrison Ford.

Ex Machina leans heavier on ideas than effects, but it's still a visually polished piece of work -- and an uncommonly engaging sci-fi feature.

8:37 AM
@AnkitSharma Title's a bit misleading. I thought at first that you're asking why the HulkBuster is called the HulkBuster, which would've been one of the most duh-worthy questions ever ;)

8:50 AM
Actually, changed the title just now so others won't think the same. Hope that's OK

Q: Can I check where actors are shooting?

domotorpMy daughter is crazy about Bollywood, so I wonder if there is a place where I can find the locations where e.g. SRK is shooting in the near future. Or is there at least a list of Bollywood movies that are being shot in 2015 in Switzerland?

@Walt ok....i want to keep that word away from title....but don't ming the edit

@TomatoBot That might be quite interesting. At least one of the few movies that Wolfgang Schmitt actually likes (not that this would be a sufficient criteria for me), if only because it seems to support his anti-transhumanistic attitude. But the trailer also looked quite promising.

@AnkitSharma I don't think it spoils anything, I actually think Tony says the name in one of the trailers

@AnkitSharma Uh, because Veronica is a spoiler now? Duh, that weird spoiler culture becomes stranger to me each day. So Jarvis possibly sacrifices himself to create Vision, which, uh, tells me exactly nothing about the movie's story.

9:00 AM
@NapoleonWilson Shoosh!!!
Spoilsport :(
(Yes, I'm one of them. I'm actually skipping most of the Ultron questions to avoid spoilers.)
And I actually don't care that much about it. But I'm just weird like that.
Hey, the chat room quotes appear in full now
@AnkitSharma Your doing?

Reminded me to change the quote
Searching started

They were truncated before

I like that one full

How about a classic
"Man, you know what I'd love to do, right now? Go down to Marie Callender's, get me a big bowl, pie, some ice cream on it, mmm-hmm good! Put some on your head! Your tongue would slap your brains out trying to get to it!"

I am not into classic
So i am not aware of them

9:09 AM
Neither am I, I wasn't serious :P It's awful

Gigli OMG

Well, it's a kind of classic ;)

Batman will kill you for this joke
And now he has big suit

Yeah, but the bottom half of his face is still exposed. And Supe's got laser vision. How is this a fight again?!
(fanboy-baiting) ;)

Kryptonite and superman's rule of not killing

9:13 AM
I thought it was Batman's one rule

And we don't know this batman yet

Then again, Batman doesn't kill humans, which Superman ain't

^ refer this meme
This is the answer
And we already seen this in comics but its going to be diffrent from comics because they don't have joker and green arrow in it...
And they are suppose to make justice league of it

Yeah, Joker's too busy listening to My Chemical Romance and cutting himself :/

tattoos
tattoos everywhere
I still like it

Yeah, the tattoos are way too desperate. Other than that, I don't have much of an opinion. Hinges on the context and performance, I guess

Whatever they do, i am still going for both DC film

What? Gigli's from Martin Brest? Didn't know that, but I haven't seen it yet anyway.
Now call that a decline.

Yeah. Wrote it, too. :(

@Walt Why?

1. Snyder 2. Affleck 3. Not interested in the new incarnation of Superman either 4. Awful trailer already borrows heavily from Watchmen
Shall I go on :P Oh, and I'm not a comic-book fan, so I'm not indebted

@Walt Hmm, I see.

Martin Brest's work after *Gigli* on IMDb:

2007 Gone Baby Gone (special thanks)

Hollywood can be pretty harsh.

Did you like Gone Girl at least?

Haven't seen it yet. Intending to, though, as I read the book.

As to Martin Brest, I really liked all he did since Beverly Hills Cop. And Scent of a Woman is one of my all-time favourites.

9:39 AM
Yeah, I'm not sure what happened
@NapoleonWilson Some people warned me not to, though. Did you like it?

@Walt Yes, very much. But you should already know by now how low my standards are.

I don't think they're low. I think you're just too nice :P
Me, I want these people to suffer and slave on their product and lose years of their lives just so I could have 100 minutes that are well constructed while snarfing down snackfood

@Walt Well, for that matter, 100 minutes would be too short for my standards.
@Walt Which is why I can't write movie reviews. After the 7th "interesting"/"amazing"/"enticing" in a sentence my vocabulary is at an end.

Don't get me started on that. 200 minutes action flicks, like they're The Godfather Part II or something
My TV standards are the same but somehow meaner, because I want these people to suffer so I could have something good for free ;)
...while snarfing down snackfood.

@Walt You mean the guy who can do anything even with 1 rep?

Oh, mod rights are the same? Doy.
@NapoleonWilson Surely you realize I'll upvote the lot, even the bad ones

@Walt That wasn't supposed to be Superman Returns' overindulgence in nostalgia anyway (which I also liked, though).
@Walt As long as you don't upvote that utter site-destroying shit that says "let me cancel all the existing votes on all the answers because I think my new one is better anyway".

@AnkitSharma Well, "haters" might be a bit harsh (at least for written language ;-)).

@AnkitSharma you mean ian? I haven't seen him around

Age of Ultron (abbreviated AU) is a 10-issue limited series comic book crossover storyline published by Marvel Comics that involved the return of Ultron and his conquest of the Earth. The event was published between March and June 2013 and featured a storyline by Brian Michael Bendis. Artist Bryan Hitch provided the art for issues one through five, and Brandon Peterson for issues six through nine. Other artists who contributed to the series include Carlos Pacheco and Joe Quesada, the latter of whom drew part of the final issue. Marvel stated that all art for the series was completed before it was...
yes there is a comics by that name
But questions are on film and most of them are from single use

@Walt No, the user formerly known as Keen (who's now user109 if I remember correctly). But that guy was definitely a loss, since he asked many good questions/answers and was a god contributor.

@Walt Keen(SFF mod). He was a good user but left us.

10:31 AM
@AnkitSharma Yeah, that SS-whatever guy, right?

Deserted to SFF? The gall

@AnkitSharma Whoa, so this was released pretty shortly before the movie afterall.

or few can be asnwers too
I don't like this robots Ulton, braniac, Sentinels etc ect
I am sick of them
I put braniac over all of them for sure but overall not fan of them
^ someone sending an open resume to DC :D

@AnkitSharma You're including the iron man suit in that?

@AnkitSharma So he wants to become the J.J. Abrams of comic movies?

10:39 AM
I think it's hilariously inconsistent
Like Paltrow able to easily lift and throw that suitcase suit with one hand in the 2nd one. The hell

@Walt RD Jr made me love Iron Man otherwise i also hated him.....a Batman ripoff with Iron suit

The best robot ever seen in recent times is TARS anyway. That guy looks amazing and is such a lovely character. But he's probably the least "intelligent" of all them anyway.
@Walt Duh, it's magic compressible material stuff! Probably the same magic material T-1000's circuits are made of.

I can also buy into Terminator shit but they ruined it with big spoilers in trailer again

@AnkitSharma Seriously, what spoilers? So they're messing with the timeline and have multiple Arnies, uh, ok.
And that hot Targaryen gal as Sarah Connor, now that's nice.

@NapoleonWilson As much as I hate the Transformers films, I won't pretend the robot design isn't impressive. It's probably the main draw

Revealed main suspense
The new terminator villain

Thanks for the heads up, won't watch now

You mean that liquid T-1000 copy, or that young Arnie? Yeah, so what?

@NapoleonWilson He is john connor, the new terminator

@NapoleonWilson Oh they're bringing back T-1000? That's a good kind of spoiler. I'll pay money to see that

@AnkitSharma Oh right, forgot about that. But well, meh.
@Walt They're bringing back all kinds of shit, it's gonna be a great multi-Spock timeline cross-jumbling mess. But I'm looking forward to it.

10:49 AM
The person who sent his dad in past to fuck his mother, so that he can born is now a terminator and sent to kill his mother, so that he can't born.........what!

Terminator: Möbius Strip

@AnkitSharma So it seems it didn't explain anything to you and made you want to see the movie?

In salvation trailer then revealed in trailer that the new guy is terminator and it made a flop movie
History might get repeated

This is sounding more and more like a parody

@AnkitSharma Oh, I liked that (surprise surprise). But I'm not sure that spoiler (which completely eluded me anyway) was really the main cause for the flop.
@Walt Or just a paromage.

10:53 AM
I am saying in superstition way :p

@NapoleonWilson Couldn't get past Bonham Carter as some sort of deformed goblin in the beginning. What was that about?

@Walt So you haven't seen a single Helena Bonham Carter movie, yet?

Watched it all the way anyway to see what made Bale so mad about the lighting. Inconclusive. ;)

What lighting?

@NapoleonWilson Not many where her head was shaved, no

You're not?
But that's half the fun
OK might write one. Or just wait 26 days and it gets deleted anyway ;)

@Walt Or that, sure.

@NapoleonWilson Some of us still like to be surprised when going to the movies. It's fine that you don't really care, but given it's a movie I can literally see in a few days time, plus the fact that we have a rule about question titles containing spoiler information, it's just something that irks me.

@MattD Sure, it still baffles me, though, at what minor things people jump in this internet spoiler culture.

@NapoleonWilson It's because the internet can literally allow me to know everything about a movie before I even see it. We can pretty much watch entire movies being made sometimes. When I go to the movies I honestly like to know very little about it, and lots of things with Marvel I'm unfamiliar with, which adds to my excitement, unlike DC movies which I'm seeing because I know a lot about those characters and want to see how they're handled.
I've added the tag for Age of Ultron to my ignore list for the time being. A bit bummed it doesn't completely remove the results from the queue, but at least they're more obvious now, which should make them easier to avoid reading.
Also bums me that it's being released in the US later than other territories, so I won't get to reap the points for answering these questions. :P

210 rep for explaining sexual innuendo, not bad.

@MattD 225, no?

Oh yeah? Nice.

Oh yeah, that's right, forgot the rep for the accepted answer. My brain is all in a tizzy today. Got back from China with a fiancee in tow, went back to work last Monday and was told they have to cancel my contract on May 1 due to budget issues, and my week is now filled with interviews, phone screens, scoping venues with my future wife and a dinner with some of her aunts and uncles. Brain isn't mathing so good right now. :P
Just amuses me that an answer to such a simple (and to me, obvious) question has earned me a good chunk of rep.
Ha, wow, it's currently my third most upvoted answer.

@MattD Well, a classic ALAN, I'd say. Netted me quite some reputation, too, already.

@NapoleonWilson Nice. Yeah, this Cap question is currently his most upvoted question as well.

3:58 PM
No doubt a former HNQ anyway.

Maybe, I was looking at the HNQ queue around the time it was asked and never really saw it on the first few pages.

Afterall Captain America and Black Widow are probably quite hot in general ("hot" in interest-sense that is, well, in colloquial sense actually, too, for that matter).

Alan's questions are definitely curious. Seems to have a lot of questions regarding sexual innuendo or sexual humor needing to be explained. @Catija got points off him asking about the, "Ouch ouch you're on my hair," line from Wedding Crashers.

@MattD Hmm, I always thought those were general dialog explanations. But now that you say it, in retrospect most of those things seem indeed to be of quite sexually ambiguous nature.

So I rather like this new metric that shows how many people your questions and answers have "reached", but I can't help but feel it's a bit of a hollow metric that's only there to make you feel good about yourself. Nifty, but seems a bit pointless.

4:09 PM
@MattD As much as I know that metric seems to be entirely ungrounded, they could as well call it "arbitrary hotness points", which is why I didn't yet give a damn about it at all. I hope they don't use it for anything serious or display it more prominently.

@NapoleonWilson Agreed. I'm just waiting for the first guy to come in on an interview and mention that metric as far as his SO profile is concerned. That's like bragging about Google page rank or whatever.

4:23 PM
That is interesting... I hadn't put the users together to see that trend.
@MattD When you say you brought your fiance back with you, does that mean she's a new fiance (got engaged on the trip) or that she lives in China (or something else)?

@Catija Yeah, it hit me later that my phrasing could draw questioning. She's American, we've been dating for just over 2 years, and I proposed to her on the Great Wall while in China for her brother's wedding (he and his wife were 100% cool with it).
@Catija And I only noticed the trend after Mr. Wilson noted the username, causing me to look him up and then seeing the trend.

Q: Documentary on Canada

AmenI wanted to know more about Canada, the culture, art, history and the country itself in a nutshell, so I was wondering if there is any good documentary about it? I searched but didn't find anything useful. any suggestion would be appreciated.

@MattD CONGRATS! That's so amazing for you! That sounds so cool!

7:54 PM
@Catija Was pretty cool. Even better is a wind/sand storm that blew in the night before we went to the wall cleared out all the crap in the sky. Was really windy at the wall, but we had clear, blue skies the whole time. Made for better pictures.
@Catija How did moving your mom or whomever to Texas go?

@MattD Sounds perfect!
@MattD Moving the mom went pretty smoothly, actually. We did it in three days, which was crazy but we had to beat the moving truck, which meant we had to arrive by Sunday night. We had a lot of fun. I kept an Instagram "diary" if you will, so that everyone could follow our trek.

8:17 PM
Nice.
Ugh, already hating this week. Had a short notice interview at 1 today, they may want me back for a coding session before making a final decision. Have a phone screen tomorrow morning and an in-person tomorrow. Possible half-day interview on Wednesday. Maybe another on Thursday. Looks like another on Friday. Plus small stuff with the fiancee in the evenings Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday....
This contract cancelation did not come at a good time. I'm already losing track of what day it is and who all I've talked to.

10:46 PM
This Ultron guy was pretty cool. But what I liked most was really that they played a little with Hawkeye's supposed inferiority and gave his character quite a bit more depth and significance. Given that he has always been the palest of them all, this was a nice surprise.

10:57 PM
If people are going to talk about Age of Ultron in here, I'm leaving until I see it.

11:22 PM
@Catija C'mon, that wasn't a spoiler in the slightest way, was it?

1
Q: What makes Ultron the person he is?

Napoleon WilsonIn Avengers: Age of Ultron Tony Stark and Bruce Banner use what seems to be some kind of artificial intelligence bound in the Infinity Stone from Loki's scepter to refine a global peace A.I. that Tony delevoped, who then turns into the evil (or misguided?) Ultron who ultimately wants to eradicate...

@NapoleonWilson I'm not saying it was, I'm just making a point. If the only option I have is to tune out until Friday, then I will.

@Catija Nobody spoils anything in mere chat conversation. That is discouraged and not actually done at all yet. Neither is it your obligation to read a question from the feed whose (non-spoiling) title suggests that it is about the movie, nor to not ignore the feed at all. So no, that is not your only option at all.
But generally speaking, is it just due to higher chat activity or higher sensitivity to those issues from my side, or is it really that with this movie this whole spoiler-fuss is leagues more intense than with previous movies, or even previous Avenger movies? One might not even want to imagine how mad people will go when The Force Awakens is released (or just hope it's released a simultaneously as possible and we can get over this awkward spoiler fear time as fast as possible).

11:39 PM
@NapoleonWilson Huh? I think we're saying the same thing... If you say it's discouraged here, that's great, I'm just trying to cut off potentially spoiler-y discussion before it happens... Someone could respond to what you said with stuff that is full of spoilers. The general rule is that spoilers are allowed as long as they're not in question titles... and apparently it's not allowed here? That was never made clear to me.

It's utterly insane what goes on in that other movies.SE's meta. Hiding the friggin' hotlist, what the f...?

I'm doing my best to avoid the questions. I can't hide the Movie Reel feed in here that I know of, but if I could, I would. I don't see the question content on the main page and I like it that way.

@Catija Well, it wasn't you in particular who I'm concerned with anyway. It's just baffling what circus is currently going on on those sites because people can't read the word Iron Man in a friggin' question title without getting panic attacks.

Oh, wait, just ignored the Movie Reel... now the question is, can I un-ignore when it's not an issue any more.
@NapoleonWilson You talking about Sci-fi?

@Catija Well, it already tended to show in this chat, too. But really, they even have meta questions about this stuff.
Or a nice example here:
Care to hide Spoilers.. — SS-3.1415926535897932384626433 6 hours ago
On a question titled "What would happen to JARVIS and Stark in upcoming MCU movies?".

Bah, I don't go over there, anyway. They're way too in-depth for me. Most of what I read is Sci-fi/Fantasy but I couldn't even begin to meet the quality standards they have.

@Catija Quality standards? Ah nevermind.

Maybe quality standards is too high... but... I mean... these people are experts about some of this stuff to a degree I think is a bit... intense?

It's that internet culture of interpreting every little word as a spoiler (which seems to be proportional to the hype fan-fuss about the movie) that I utterly detest.
@Catija Well, it's just an entitrely different site with an entirely different scope and entirely different questions and approaches to them.

Hmmm... honestly, I read an article one time that argued that hearing spoilers doesn't actually decrease your enjoyment of the film... but then I think... I've never actually seen Sixth Sense ... probably because it was "ruined"... But I think that's a major outlier. Most films aren't like that.
@NapoleonWilson Which is why I hang out here.
You'd probably like it... I think it was this one:

Yeah, I think I've read such an article once, too (if not even exactly that one). I wouldn't subscribe to that entirely either, though. While I don't fear spoilers that much, I have sympathy for people not wanting to get major plot elements revealed (and the site has the necessary rules to accomodate for that). But really, one can overdo that sensitivity and level of detail.

The only thing I've read is that something happens to JARVIS... Don't know what but I'm afraid because I love JARVIS as an entity and can't imagine Stark without his digital sidekick.
And I'm going to delete that, shortly because I'm not wanting to mess with anyone else, either.

@Catija Well, then you might to some degree like what happens to him or to some degree not, depends on the different aspects of JARVIS you're keen to see more fleshed out.

Wait... I can't delete my own posts now? Ugh.

@Catija You never could in chat.

@NapoleonWilson You can if it's recent enough... Must have the same restrictions as editing them.
