@iandotkelly I still can't believe that someone who grew up in the 80s doesn't know (and love) Dirty Dancing.

3:41 AM
@ChristianRau - I know it .... kind of, I think I saw it once
I even quite like musicals - perhaps I should watch it again
You are either up very late, or up very early.

@iandotkelly Given that my last comment wasn't posted entirely sober, let's stay with very late. I was to karaoke and yet again realized that virtually anybody in the whole bar has to sing along when Time of My Life comes up. And this reminded me of your quite shocking comment once.

@atticae Meh, a "bluescreen" has quite a different connotation when not knowing the movie context beforehand, especially when coming from a computer background.

Q: Does After Earth sci-fi jargon have any bases or is it complete gibberish

Mathew FoscariniOne of the most quoted lines from After Earth is: Graviton buildup could be a precursor to mass expansion. This phrase is not only very memorable, but it's also quoted in many reviews as meaningless gibberish. While I agree it's a bunch of sci-fi jargon. Usually these things are based upon...

Q: Does anyone know which movie has a clever retort about "Good Day/ Good morning"?

jt0ddI have read many books and watched many movies, and I just thought of a specific retort that a character made, either in the Harry Potter movies, or the books (I want to say this was Dumbledore.) to being bid "Good morning" or "Good day": Basically, it was very roughly along the lines of "Are y...

Q: How realistic is the brainwashing shown during Season 3 and 4?

atticaeIn Season 3 of Game of Thrones, karma really has it in for one of the main characters, who after betraying his friend ends up in a very unfortunate position: After being betrayed by his own troops at Winterfell, Theon Greyjoy lands in the hands of the sadistic Ramsay Snow, who after prolonged ...

7:10 PM
@TylerShads "Hasst du mich ?" / "Du hasst mich ." Muhahaha! Aber nein, tue ich nicht. ;-)
@AnkitSharma Maybe next week.

@ChristianRau Sehr gut!

I am planing for tomorrow or sat. Not fixed yet.

I'm planning on whenever I decide I'm not a cheap-ass

Did you guys know SE had a data explorer? Stats for everyone!

But on the other hand, there's other stuff scheduled to be seen, since X-Men won't probably not run away, being rather fresh.

7:13 PM
I just checked how banning ID would affect our overall questions/day ratio :D

@atticae Yes, but not for beta sites. ;-(

sure it does

@atticae must've been updated to included beta in the past while, used to be for only graduated sites.

apparently right now we have a ratio of 5.2 (questions overall / days overall)
not counting id this would drop to 4.0

That's not bad at all

7:15 PM
not as bad as i thought

And down goes chat :D

haha
deleted and migrated questions not counted

which don't count anyway

we delete a lot of those id questions, that's probably also the reason we have such a high ratio of 8.4 on Area51
where only the last 2 weeks are counted

aye
I love this revamp whenever it was done
I have a 68% chance that my answer is the accepted one ;)

7:18 PM
anyway here is the query if anybody is interested in playing around with it: questions per day without id

@TylerShads that brainwash one? I am 90% sure.

I think he took that from the data explorer :D

eheh

there are some funny predefined queries you can run

I wonder why the close-vote. I hope it ended with 1 only.

7:22 PM
what is the highlander badge? Oo
@TylerShads Only 58% here :/
