Q: movie answer script

user4106"Waking up in an ambulance, Quaid is greeted by Melina. He notices the absence of a scar on her hand and realizes she is Lori in disguise. Quaid fights Lori and kills her. He and Melina then reunite as an advertisement for Rekall plays on a billboard in the background. In the extended director's ...

Q: Why the title 'unforgiven' in the movie Unforgiven?

AnkitI just watched the 1992 film "Unforgiven" and I liked it a lot. I want to ask how does the title fits with the story here ?

@iandotkelly that is pretty awesome

@Nobby - great. Were you at the showing, or in the crowd outside?
Awesome to have an ESB programme too.

Huh, I kinda wish they did that now
i have a few from broadway shows ive been to, but if i had one for each batman/avengers/other movies i love n have been excited for, definitely would add to the experience
Wonder when they stopped doing that

I don't know - it kind of made it like the experience of going to a theatre show.
They probably only did it for big movies, in large theaters.

Or maybe it was just a UK thing?

Maybe
This is what I have - but mine has a rip on the back cover :-(

interesting article on film theory
@iandotkelly now thatis awesome

3:58 PM
@iandotkelly I was at the showing - it was amazing. Everyone was wearing Yoda caps (with the ears) and we even cheered the Palitoy/Kenner adverts at the beginning - what a rush.
@iandotkelly Yep - gorgeous. A real shame the marketing budgets can't spring for these for new releases. I think I might start a campaign for the new films to do so. BTW - this would make for an interesting question on the site: which was the last film to be released with a souvenir program, and why did they stop?

@TylerShads That's just sad.

4:18 PM
@TylerShads As someone who had to learn all this, and promptly forgot it, I can sympathize.

4:39 PM
Excellent. In a few days I'll be a Trusted User. Finally I'll have some power to abuse!

@Nobby - I was thinking of asking a question along those lines. I know.... a radical departure for me to ask a question.

@Keen What's a trusted user? I feel like a noob.

Its when you get to 20k reputation on a main site and 4k on a beta site
You get a bunch of privilages

4:54 PM
@iandotkelly Oh right. I really should read those pages a bit more thoroughly.

reading
its worthless

@Nobby It's the highest privilege level regular users can reach: movies.stackexchange.com/privileges/trusted-user

I'm a very special boy.
I should really go join the Sci Fi group. I'm sure I would have a ball over there.

@Nobby no! they're EVIL!
ahh, my posts deleted number has dropped to 1. time to go quell closed questions!

haderp

5:16 PM
...really? a one word edit?

welcome to the edit queue where ideas dont matter, but a single word does
gorramit i miss whose line

5:44 PM
@DForck42 No we're not. Don't be a cotton-headed ninny-muggins.

@Donald.McLean a what?

@DForck42 only a hipster would understand

5:59 PM
@TylerShads ahh, i odn't wear skinny jeans

over at rpg we're doing an en garde group in one of the chat rooms chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/13/…

that setting in general doesnt interest me all that much, but im surprised rpg.se doesnt use things like roll 20 to do games..and if they do, shame on me for not realizing

6:02 PM
@TylerShads i honestly don't know, @briantballsunstanton is the best person to ask (wonder if that'll ping him)

@DForck42 if he hasnt been in the room the past 24 hours it wont
if you do a super ping, then it will

ehh

gary oldman is a madman genius, i wish he did more

@TylerShads heh, yeah

ever see The Professional?

6:10 PM
@TylerShads yes

yeah, it speaks for itself

@TylerShads heheh

6:22 PM
@DForck42 Pay no attention to that ridiculous person. It's from the Will Ferrel movie Elf.

@Donald.McLean blargh

Gary Oldman is awesome .... he's great in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, but its not a movie for everyone
He's great in Leon The Professional and The Fifth Element - madman genius is a good description

i tried watching it...was very slow...and soft for the first 20 min...then things had to be done
He just needs to work with Luc Besson...forever methinks
That man needs to actually write Mr. Shadow, ever since learning 5th Element has a second part to it, my mind won't rest until I know what it could be

I did not know that .......
TTSS is slow, but it has a great atmosphere

its been dead in the water for almost 20 years =/

6:33 PM
@iandotkelly Something better than your common oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere?

@Donald.McLean its an ammonia filled atmosphere

@Donald.McLean - it has a rather grimy smoke filled atmosphere. Spies in the seventies look more like they are about to die of emphysema rather than being some sort of James Bond

Loved TTSS. Loved the BBC version too.

Looks like Video Game High School, season 2 has been funded.

6:52 PM
I loved TTSS too. Never seen the BBC Alec Guinness version. The list of names in it ..... John Hurt, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbach, Toby Jones, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong - what a cast!?!

Q: Movie about heavy drug related death

user4111Help me find a film. I remember a scene where a guy and a girl go home to have sex. He's had too much cocaine and the girl slips him some viagra. He then has a stroke. I believe he was black and she was white.

@Donald.McLean yay!

Q: Desperately seeking to identify movie or show about one-eyed, tentacled aliens that disguise themselves as humans

MiaI saw this when I was VERY young, so my memories are spotty. I cannot recall if this is a movie or a tv episode (older), nor whether it was color or black and white (though my memories include color, so it's entirely possible.) I remember aliens that were large, their bodies made up of thin te...

Q: What was the last movie to have a souvenir program available at showings?

iandotkellyWhen I saw Star Wars in 1977 I was lucky enough to be able to get a souvenir program about the movie, in much the same way that you commonly get for live theater. The program was 18 pages and contained cast member, plot and production details. It looked like this: Some more examples of movie...
