Tim
5:47 PM
it's oh so quiet

6:02 PM
@Tim stay lurking imo.
If this room gets ten regular lurkers activity will happen

Tim
6:19 PM
@JohanLarsson lurking for what? running

By lurk I mean stay logged in, an open tab is not much cost :)
I don't speak English much btw.

Tim
Why you don't speak English matters?
Openning more tabs means the CPU temperatures gets higher.

If I write strange things.

Tim
whether it is strange is in the eyes of beholders

yep, always.

Tim
6:25 PM
I hope to relearn statistics too

it is useful but unlearning it is extremely effective

Tim
what is "unlearning it is extremely effective"

I forget it completely between usages :)

Tim
you confuse me even more.

@Tim this looks ok, watched 50%, not sure how much I watched with eyes open.

Tim
6:29 PM
oh, I don't like to learn math by watching videos.
it is not efficient.
Some good books will be nicer

maybe not
Are you working or in school?

Tim
but I shouldn't make judgement on the link you gave, because I haven't watched them
It is probably I have never met someone who could teach
@JohanLarsson good question. I am not working. Does that mean I have only one option? :)

Just pick an answer :)
@Tim I'd say doing > reading > watching but the effort goes the other way.
I work btw, more than ten years since uni for me.

Tim
learning is a life long thing, whether in school.
It is not easy to keep the interest of learning.
"13138 273" is some mysterious number I found on Glen_b's profile
what could that mean?

That has always been easy for me, the speed when learning new things goes down significantly with age though.

Tim
6:34 PM
why goes down?
does it depends on what you learn? programming, math, statistics, acting, social skills, ...

My guess is that age explains it, brain just works slower/worse :)
not done much acting or social :)

Tim
To me, it is my vision. I am grumpy when I am tired and my vision becomes blurry. Because of that, I am even more tired, if I insist.
Johan, you should believe you can do it. Age is not a problem, regardless of what others say. You are not old. Trust yourself.

:)
I have not given up, just feel it will take more time
