A: How to enforce referential integrity on Single Table Inheritance?

Could anyone suggest a reason behind the downvote on the following question? I am NOT cruising for upvotes, but for comments to help improve my answer.

the white and black squares play slightly differently, though, and it makes for a really fun combination

wondering how many other people find that they write more test code for stored procedures than stored procedures and supporting documentation.

Like all such retarded things, it gained traction through Reddit.
