Regarding Ron maimon, it should also be mentioned that though no lnger participating at SE, he still is the contributor to Physics SE ith the third largest reputation: physics.stackexchange.com/users?tab=Reputation&filter=all

The few rude remarks for which he was banned are far outweighted by the contributions he freely donated to the Physics SE, and which were greatly appreciated by the Physics SE community.

@ArnoldNeumaier - "... which were greatly appreciated ..." I'm sure they still ARE. Nobody disputes that.

That's probably one point everyone can agree on.

I'm personally very fond of his insightful, detailed answers to a lot of non-trivial questions.

Also, I would (personally) love it if this PO-PSE divide was buried. But of course, that would require initiative from both sides.

But these (last two) are my personal opinions :)
