How do you get around the paradox of sending someone back in time to stop you from doing something?
I suppose you can leave yourself a message to find in the future.

It depends on your theory of time travel

I want one timeline with no branching.

How can you be sure that your note will be found, that the agent you send will be successful, that they will agree to go, etc?

I guess it would have to be big enough

wouldn't the future get cluttered with to-do items? to-do: send someone on Oct 21 2016 back to Jan 3 2003 to refuckulate the fuckulator in order to prevent X consequence. To-do: Oct 22 2016 send someone back to Oct 21 2016 to stop the sending of the agent to Jan 3 2003. To-do Oct 23 2016 Send someone back to Jan 4 2003 to defuckulate the fuckulator to ensure condition X.

interesting. maybe so

I think any attempt at storytelling with timetravel will end up incoherent. So maybe just roll with it, like Dr. Who does.

yeah. I guess I should only worry about it when I need something to happen.

Is this for nano?

maybe. I have three ideas now. I'm not sure if I'll have time, though. I have to spend a week in China on business.

oh, that sounds fun
just leave yourself a note in the future to go back and write your nano
