I was thinking of doing that way of coming up with a story I think you were talking about a long while ago, where you write a few hundred words, then find the interesting bits and expand those, and find the interesting bits of the expanded bits and keep going until you have a book

but I couldn't think of a starting point

I started writing this for the nose the other day, but I never got around to finishing it.

I didn't really know where it was going so I was going to see if I could write a story, any story, and then distill it to 500 words

Right now I am trying to finish a lego model so that I can call it "done" and then disassemble it.

Usually my large models are never finished because I get lazy after I've "solved" the problem

Right now I am wound up because the project coordinator has requested a meeting for doing my work on a different project that she is not coordinating and is being evasive about why she's doing that.

I'm pretty annoyed by the situation, especially that a meeting was requested without talking to me first.

It's always annoying in larger companies when you have to deal with corporate structure issues instead of actual work.

Well, it seems I am extremely grumpy today. I thought I was in a decent mood this morning, but then people were talking to me. Gah.

And now my reaction to this kind of thing is "It's none of your goddamned business what I'm doing on this project."

I have days like that

And by the way, I'm gathering the requirements. That's my job. And also. This is my project, not yours.

Grrr.
