(At least it is half as good as Edna St. Vincent Millay's "First Fig" (http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/poem/3298#poem), assuming the appropriate scale of "poetic goodness". [The appropriate dullness of the regular iambic meter in the first line — contrasting the ˘´ ˘´ ˘´´ meter in "First Fig" — was accidental; I had intended a closer copying.])

(I guess the chat formatting does not like the use of non-breaking spaces to indent lines. The second and fourth lines should be indented three spaces.)
