@MoriDoweedhYaa3qob, we wear it slightly differently from you, but we don't do the mainstream pseudo-ittuf either. On the other hand, what is the Temani interpretation of kitniot?

7:16 PM
@NoachmiFrankfurt from what i saw in pictures from the 1700 1800s the jews from germany and amsterdam wore the 6aleetoth like teimonim around the back and onto your forearms.
@NoachmiFrankfurt teimonim eat qee6neeyoth and this is a meenhagh shatuth not to do so

@MoriDoweedhYaa3qob I always see this image when I think of the Temani manner of wearing a tallit: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temanim#mediaviewer/…. If I saw an Ashkenazi Jew wearing a tallit like that, I would infer that he happened to be an am ha'aretz. On the other hand, there is the slightly different manner in which the Yekkes wear it, as in this photo of Chazzan Frankel a"h of KAJ: i.stack.imgur.com/D7Nd1.jpg.

@NoachmiFrankfurt no that is not how teimonim wear their 6aleetoth. teimonim were it bhol.co.il/ImageBank/orig/…
thats how they would wear it when prayiing
but when walking the streets
they would wear it different
as u know teimonim wore their 6aleetoth like in original times all day throughout the day where ever they went

@MoriDoweedhYaa3qob I did not realise that it was customary to wear the tallit gadol differently in the street, although it should not surprise me so. I wear my tallit like a Litvak when I am not davening. Is the first image (not the linked one of a Temani davening before the amud) of European Jews? I was also under the impression that your custom was also to wear the tefillin all day. Was this so in Teiman? (I'm guessing that very few still wear their tallit w/o tefillin all-day in Israel or the US.)

10:25 PM
@NoachmiFrankfurt yes that pic is of ashkanazi jews
@NoachmiFrankfurt i dont wear my tafillin or 6aleeth all day it was done so in teimon but not anymore as with many original laws and customs
unfortunatley
theres a lot of pics of ashkanazim wearing their 6aleetoth like teimonim
