It kind of bugs me that question #1 (so, the first question people will read) was asked by somebody calling himself "not-allowed to change my name". But I don't know what we can do about it. (Does anybody know who he thinks isn't allowing him, or why he might be using that name?)
(I'm formatting that one right now, by the way.)

@MonicaCellio Not much to do about it. He was in the Purim book too, I think. Some people just like drama and limits-testing, and our very permissive pseudonym policy enables that. Once, in the early days, I drew the line at "Mi Yodeya Administrator." Congratulations, kid, you managed to find the limit. I think that user actually argued at the time that there was no written rule against choosing such a name, so he should be allowed to keep it.
@MonicaCellio Note that this name cannot be a completely sincere expression of inability to change names, as the user had to change his name to make it that!

@IsaacMoses that's true.
@IsaacMoses did SE not at the time have the rule that you can't claim to be a real (other) user? They've addressed plenty of fake Jon Skeets and Jeff Atwoods and such. I would argue that "Mi Yodeya Administrator" is another identifiable user.

@MonicaCellio <shrug> I just invoked common sense plus my own then-dictatorial powers.
I think one of our limit-testers once chose the name "Isaac Moses" for fun, maybe on Purim, and then backed down when I objected.

@IsaacMoses oh right; you did say "early days", which probably means 1.0, which probably had completely different rules. Anyway, no worries, and I belatedly endorse your action.
@IsaacMoses I guess we all draw the "acceptable for Purim" line in different places. I'm glad he backed down so it didn't have to become a bigger thing. (And now that I think about it, didn't somebody use Alex's gravatar during Purim one year? That seemed iffy to me.)

@MonicaCellio Sounds familiar.
