@Catija Yes, just enjoy him. From now through the next few years will be an extraordinary time for you and for him. Much to see and to learn. Miraculous! 😊 Enjoy it all.
And yes, pet him lots.
BTW, I love his name.

I'm looking to replace my old and partly damaged tools from IKEA, most importantly spoons and spatulas for cooking. there are so many possibilities though, considering shape and material only already. for example, there's the [Le Creuset](http://www.seriouseats.com/2015/03/le-creuset-bi-material-spoon-equipment-review.html) bi-material spoon which seems to be able to do the job of two tools, but then again, I'd be worried to use it on my cast iron skillet, so I'd need another tool for that.

what do people here have and think is the minimal set of tools required? this set should include too
also, there's so many different kinds of spoons and spatulas, slotted, symmetric, angled, etc and I'm not sure which of them are actually useful and which I shouldn't waste my money on

@Catija we are soooo happy for you! Congratulations!
<add cooing noises and that strange look that women get when looking at babies>
First thing I did was showing the photos to hubby ;-)

@Stephie :D Thanks! He's been great so far. Generally easy, not a lot of crying. Always cute.
Are you all back home after your trip?

Yes, we are home. Arrived Thursday evening. It was a great trip.
How do you feel, @Catija? Recovering and resting well?
Have to run, take care!

@Stephie Doing great. I've been spending 90% of my time on my butt or back. Tomorrow I'll leave the house for the first time since we came home to go to our three day check up. Hopefully I'll get a relatively clean bill of health and be allowed to go on short walks etc. It's been great. Between Andy and my mom, I haven't had to do much more than feed Bennett and myself. My mom's leaving tonight but Andy's should be getting in today sometime, so we'll still have an extra set of hands.
