Wow where did everyone disappear to? No activity for like 16 hours

1:11 PM
@Jay Is that a lot?
Ah, here's @Cindy.

Hello!

Anthony has been active elsewhere, but not here.
@derobert Say something exciting and profound about food. Go.
@Cindy Hey. What's happening?

Seems to be a quiet morning.
@FaheemMitha Same old stuff. How about you?
Actually I'm cooking breakfast.

@Cindy Same old, same old. Any news about the job? If you don't mind me asking.

@FaheemMitha No news. Still waiting.

Jay
1:24 PM
@Cindy Good morning! Whatca making for breakfast

@Jay Hi! My favorite, scrapple and eggs.

Jay
i dont like the texture of scrapple
too... soft

I'm used to it as I grew up on it. But I usually cut it a little thin and let it crisp up.

Jay
oh i see
my roomie loves scrapple
but then he loves any meat product
lol

You're in scrapple country. And I've found that in PA and DE it is usually not cooked crispy, even if it's thicker. And some places crisp on one side. You won't find it on a menu down here.

Jay
1:30 PM
yea its usually not crispy here

If you order it out tell them you want it crispy or ask for a 'smash 'n burn'.

Jay
oh sounds violent ;)

True. But good.
I always get it like I want it here 'cause the only way to get it is to cook it.

Jay
i want some scrambled eggs

I love eggs cooked any way, but I have to have dippy eggs with scrapple.

Jay
1:37 PM
what is dippy eggs?
sunny side up so you can dip scrabble into yolk?

Like over easy. White done and yolk perfectly runny.
A chef told me about dippy eggs years ago. I had ordered my eggs "white done and yolk runny" because you never know how they're going to come as restaurants differ. So the chef told me to order dippy eggs and the chef would always know how I wanted them. Still don't know if it's true or not or if it's a regional thing.
That was in PA, Bensalem IIRC.

Jay
1:55 PM
oh thats like super super close to me
~30min away

Not far at all.

2:22 PM
I'm off to do errands. It will probably do me good to get away from e-mail as I am driving myself crazy checking it. See you a little later! :)

Jay
later!!

2:47 PM
@Cindy Oh, that's too bad. They really like to drag it out, don't they?

Dippy eggs being very over easy eggs?

4:08 PM
Ah, the Young Things. Where did everyone else go?
Exciting plans for the weekend?

4:58 PM
Not at all

@AnubianNoob Well, that's too bad.
You should go dancing. That's always good.

Sounds fun

Jay
@FaheemMitha most dance clubs are 18+

@Jay Hmm. Maybe you're going to the wrong kinds of dance clubs.
Then again, you are 18+, right?

Jay
aside from rare specials where its like high school night. i dont know a single club that allow 18-

5:11 PM
@Jay I've been to a few places, but they're technically not clubs. Just dance halls.
Clubs typically serve alcohol, so I suppose there would be age restrictions.
Just to be clear, I'm talking about actual dancing, not people jumping up and down.

Yeah the closest things people my age go to are raves

Does that involve drugs?
Actual dancing, random link:
Well, not that random. It's from my collection of downloaded Youtube WCS video clips.

@FaheemMitha It's opt-in

5:36 PM
@FaheemMitha (channeling a certain famous developer) Moo?

A MOO (MUD, object-oriented) is a text-based online virtual reality system to which multiple users (players) are connected at the same time. The term MOO is used in two distinct, but related, senses. One is to refer to those programs descended from the original MOOcow server, and the other is to refer to any MUD that uses object-oriented techniques to organize its database of objects, particularly if it does so in a similar fashion to the original MOO or its derivatives. Most of this article refers to the original MOO and its direct descendants, but see Non-Descendant MOOs for a list of MOO-like...

5:49 PM
@derobert Hmm, how is that about food?

6:16 PM
@FaheemMitha They're tasty.
The animals that say that, of course. Not the developer. I've never tried to eat him.

1 hour later…
7:26 PM
@derobert What are, multi-user object-oriented games?

7:46 PM
Yoohoo.........
<echo>
